Thank you dear étoile de mer, you should try the bracelet on to enable your decision. Plus the good thing about silver is you can go chunkier without going bankrupt [emoji3]

I don't think you can go wrong with either. However, if I could choose only one, then I would choose the TGM. I just find it more special than the GM. I wholeheartedly agree with the love you have for the warmth/colour.

Dear Pourquoipas and wma, I do need to try again at some point! Other items arrived, and pushed it down my wish list. I do remember the TGM 11 link feeling about right, but they didn't have the 10 link for comparison. I have a small wrist (a bit less than 15cm), so couldn't quite decide if the scale of the TGM was a bit too big for me, but I do like statement pieces in silver. And I did like that the TGM individual links were a bit more discernible from a distance. Regarding other beautiful Chaine d'Ancre offerings, I was at my store yesterday and fell in love with the long, continuous loop, Ever Chaine d'Ancre necklace! So elegant.

I'm not sure why I didn't think of it before. I tied the bracelet so that it would simulate the 11 link TGM and it is very close to how the 11 link TGM fit on my wrist. The bracelet wears higher up the wrist and I did like the tighter fit. In the first photo, the links sit angled and the bracelet looks really nice. In the second photo, the links sit at zero or 90 degrees. The bracelet looks similar to the Enchaînée cuffs when the links sit like this but the links sitting perpendicular to my wrist stick out and annoy me. In the third photo, the bracelet does not slide down my wrist as much so that's nice.

The dealbreaker for me was that the 11 link TGM would more often sit like it does in the second photo and I don't like that look as much. I don't think you can go wrong either way especially because you like a tighter fitting bracelet. Of course, it's still essential that you try the bracelets on because they fit differently for everyone.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. Been too busy to visit. My wrist is 16 cm. My TGM is 12 links. I could fit the 11 links one but I found the links to sit more perpendicular. I like it better when the links drape on the wrist.

Thank you so much for your kind reply!! NMine wrist is circa 17 cm,so the 12 links is the answer. Have a wonderful day!!

After purchasing many hermes bracelets I decided to try the chaine d'ancre in the large size. I ADORE this bracelet, love it to pieces - goes great with cdc, clics, charnieres....everything in my drawers. HOWEVER, I find it impossible to get the bracelet on and off. I literally was sweating in the boutique yesterday!! (not a pretty sight) I have a small wrist and the bracelet I was trying on was perfect , that is when I got it on...Problem is that I would never be able to take it off!!! I tried to size up but it was waaayyyy too large. Does anyone have any tricks as to this fabulous piece? or is this just not for me??
