Ladies, for those of you that bought your coco bags from a direct retailer and are sure they are real, do any of them have a tag inside that says Made in Italy? I told you guys about my fiasco with Jake and having to cancel my order with them. I was so upset because I had waited so long and so patiently for this bag (it wasa 30th birthday present to myself) and then I couldn't get it. Ive been so bummed about it that I broke down and bought one on eBay. The seller seems reputable and the bag seems real, but I was caught off guard by the made in italy tag because most of the people who have posted in this thread about the "made in" tags have a tag that reads "Made in China." One of the reasons I bought the bag despite the fact that eBay sales for it are so uncertain right now is that I have a ten day money back guarantee. I have emailed with seller and she says she cann't provide the receipt because she was selling the bag for a friend. She said if I have doubts I am welcome to return it for a full refund, now I am just trying to decide if I should return it or not. Help!

customer care at the Alexander Wang website is incredibly helpful and responsive. they have written me back right away to my 9 million questions. I think you should email them and ask if the tag should say china or Italy. I'm sure they will tell you! you could say you recieved the bag as a gift if you don't want to tell them you bought it on ebay and that you are concerned it might be a fake but don't want to insult your friend. (Is that bad to lie?) good luck! is it GORGEOUS?! do you LOVE IT?! Is it everything we have been hoping and imagining it is?!!! :)

Thanks Spielberg and Demicouture! I do LOVE it, which is why Im hesitant to return it, but I only want to keep it if its the real thing. I am going to contact Alexander Wang customer service and see if they can help me decide. Thanks again!

I just sent the email off and blamed it on my husband LOL! I was like he gave it to me as a gift and I don't want to hurt his feelings but I think it might be fake...LMAO I'll let you know when I get an answer!

Update- I am sending the bag back. Here is the response I got from A. Wang customer care:

Hi Ashley,

Thank you for the email. All of our bags are made in China. If you would like to get confirmation, you can visit one of our stores near you.

They have amazing and responsive customer service (so far in my experience) it makes me want to buy from them - and pay full price even - to support the company :) so few companies today have good customer service!

That certainly makes me think highly of the Alexander Wang company. Although I'm glad I ordered from Mick Margo to get the 35% discount, I wouldn't hesitate in the future to order directly from Alexander Wang - unfortunately, good customer service like that is rare these days. :shrugs:

oh yeah, 35% discount?! my corporate loyalty would definitely go right out the window for that price!!! do they still have that discount?!

gosh if the knockoff was that beautiful -- i can't imagine what the REAL bag is going to be like! :)

speaking of customer service, i was pretty dissappointed with mickmargo
when i called to pre-order, i never got an e-mail
so i called again asking why nadine never e-mailed me
and the girl just said she was a bit backed up on e-mails and would e-mail me.
i never got the e-mail.
so when it was avalible to pre-order online i just did that
and i e-mailed them about a question i had about 2 months ago
i never got a response to that either...
i even checked my junk mail several times to see if it went there, but nothing
i wonder if you all had any of the same problems?
