just got back from Neimans. now I'm even more torn. the rockie is def too small for me. but now I want the cayenne or mercury Rocco and I still want to hold out for that green.

they also had a cayenne Emile.

I LOVE both the Cayenne and Mercury. I wanted a more grey bag (Mercury) but instead got a Granite - which is more of a green/grey/brown - but I still love mine!

The other day I spoke with someone at the soho AW store. She told me AW wanted to change things up and go for a sleeker look (softer leather and less texture).
Well I guess it's coming sooner than later because Neiman Marcus has exactly as she described, Pale Gold studs and all, up for pre-order. What do you guys think?
Plus if you look at the colors you will see a Dark Argon as a choice. Anyone know what color that is?

I visited a Neiman Marcus store yesterday. They had the "sleeker" version of the Rocco and Rockie on display in black and dark argon. The studs on these bags are bullets and not the cupcakes like shown on the website. The SA allowed me to take a few pics...they are cell phone crappy but hopefully you will get the idea.

Not at all liking the look of this. It reminds me of leather that is very dated. Maybe because I love my pebbled Roccos. I'll take a pass until I see more mod shots of them around the forum. Maybe my stance will soften up a bit.

Love the pebbled look. I just got a black Rockie with aged brass hardware, pebbled leather of course. Thank you for sharing your picture! Love your bag it's beautiful.

what are the new colors in the "sleeker" leather version? I saw a kind of teal/hunter green color with silver bullets that I'm liking, but I just want to know what other colors there are going to be.

So far, I have only heard of the "Soft Pebbled" Rocco coming in Dark Argon and Black...both have pale gold hardware. Neiman's also had the Rockie in both of these colors.

IMO, the Dark Argon looked like a dark green/blue/teal color...but the hardware was definitely gold.

I really want something in that Iodine/Burgundy color.

cathead, thanks for the spy pics!! the softer leather doesn't look bad, but i still prefer the gorgeous pebbled leather AW is known for!! that and i feel the smoother leather is available for so many other contemporary brands (MBMJ, RM, MK, etc etc)

Ooh, I love the soft pebbled! The HW looks more bling-bling on them or something; not sure if that's just the dark colour! Regardless I like...
