Hi Ladies! After much research (and repeatedly walking into Barneys) I have decided I am going to get the Rocco bag over the Diego. I know I want the black bag, but I'm still unsure of the hardware I should get--it's between the rose gold rivets (http://www.shopbop.com/rocco-duffle...524441930770.htm?fm=search-viewall-shopbysize), the pale gold cupcake studs (http://www.cultstatus.com.au/product_view.php?id=2372) or the rose gold cupcake studs, which are nowhere to be found these days but would be willing to hold out for. What are your thoughts?
Great decision... I love my Rocco and have another on the way.
As for your dilema with HW, I just clicked the links you provided and they are both gorgeous. I don't think you can go wrong with either.
This season a lot of the HW being used is the Pale Gold so maybe get the Black with Rose Gold now and then down the line get another color with the Pale Gold seeing as how they will be available.

Hello everyone! After lusting after a Rocco and a red bag for awhile, I have decided to purchase the Rocco in Cayenne! I have $500 Neiman's gift card to use, so I figured it would be putting it to good use! 
However, I am a bit worried about the silver hardware... I tend to wear more gold than silver, and since there is so much hardware on the bag, I'm worried about it clashing.
Do you think that it's just a small problem and nothing to worry about? Or should I wait and see if one with a gold tone hardware is released?

Depends on how OCD you are. I am extremely OC and I have to force myself to mix metals. I know that no one else notices or cares but it bugs me to no end. I bought a bag with rose gold hardware and solved the problem by getting some inexpensive tricolor jewelery so i can feel better about mixing my metals.
I wore gold jewelery exclusively for 30 years. Then I woke up one day, decided it was tacky and that silver was edgy. Go figure. That is why it is so hard for me to get rid of anything. I will be back 'into' it (whatever it is ) a few years up the road.

I am new to AW so I do not know the answer to your question... BUT I love the pics of Birchwood on shopbop. Is there any way you can take a pic or two of yours? I would love to see real pics of Birchwood...
Thank you gals! Well, I'll update this story later but when I got my AW Rocco with brass hardware, I got to say that I was a bit disappointed
The brass hardware was a bit opaque and didn't "pop" as much as I thought, so I went ahead and did some more research and it seems that "pale gold" HW could be the perfect in between color for me. Not too blingy like the rose gold and not to "turned off" like the brass hardware. I ordered a new bag in pale gold from Saks.com. I'll keep you posted! AW Rocco bags are definitely an adventure to purchase!!
I just received this black w/ brass Rocco yesterday from Forwardforward and it is missing logo on the leather tag inside. the logo is there but it is so faint and imprinted poorly that at a glace you dont even see its there. Here is the pic i posted on Authenticate this post
It turned out to be authentic and boxermom also said that it is 2010 rocco. I've contacted Forwardforward about the matter and im shocked and disappointed by the way they are handling the situation. They were nothing but friendly until i made the purchase but it all changed when i found the defect.
They keep telling me that the bag they sent me was carefully inspected and the bag did have the logo as well. This is driving me insane as they seem to think the pictures im showing them are of a different bag and Not the one i got from Forward.
what do you guys think of it? is the logo prominent enough to be passed as ok?
They are saying "it is unfortunate that it was not good enough".
i think it is a defect. when you see it in person, it looks fake w/ missing logo.

first of all, sorry you're dealing with this mess! from the pic you posted, i can actually see the "alexander wang" engraved on the leather tag, but you're right it's very subtle! your bag looks gorgeous btw, and it's like that with all roccos..... some panels are more pebbled than others. mine's the same way.... the two side panels aren't are pebbled as the main long panels, but that's what i love about it! did u get the bag on sale? why are they sending you a 2010 rocco and not one from the 2012 batch??

They seem to think that i showing them pictures of a different bag which is insane.
I got it for 744. which was not much of a sale but i was still glad that i got it with a bit of discount. They initially said rocco on sale was an error in their website that it should have been on the regular price. i felt lucky then.. well now i reget ever getting it in first place..... their inven might only has roccos from 2010, iam not sure. They haven't answered me about that particular question yet.

they have return pollicy. i initially contacted them regarding the tag issue and asking about their international exchange system. but they suspected somehow that iam showing them pictures of a different bag. They insisted the bag they sent out is in best condition. now im just frustrated that they wouldn't not admit the problem. In case of return, i dont' think i should be responsible for the international shipping back to US becasue logo that faint is clearly a defect.. im still waiting for their reply.
