I find the handles fine on the forearm. The handles aren't as grating as say, an LV Speedy... but the bag is heavier.

The Rocco is heavy! But the handles are quite comfortable on the arms, as long as u dont load it too much, and then there is the shoulder strap to switch it up when the weight becomes uncomfortable.
I just picked up my Rocco for first time in a couple of months as ive been on holiday and was using my lighter weight handbags (Chanel flaps and longchamp le pilage)... Omg i could not believe the weight of Rocco in comparison... Don't get me wrong, I still love it to death and will be using it from tomorrow

Maybe AW changed their leather, just guessing about this (lol) because I have read a few comments lately about stiffer leather. Maybe some one with more knowledge than I can help you, I only have a baby rocco but am waiting on a mini like yours to be delivered.
