I am! The pipings are beginning to rub-off but as much as disheartening it is...it is such a beautiful bag and ive resigned myself to the fact that black Rocco leathers and quality will always be like this and some babying (okay...a lot!) need to be involved

Have you tried edge kote?
I didn't use it on my black first gen rocco because it didn't need it. I have used the clear(neutral) edge kote on my luggage and mustard rocco. My mustard piping wore after the first time I carried it and the edge kote stopped that.

Havent treated it with anything yet! I gotta do as you Suggested and stop its ageing process.
And there i also have my answer...that this problem is present even in other colors. Wonder if the latte leather behaves like this too??

ITA with this, I have used edge kote on all my Roccos-works like a charm!!
