I really like the mesh... it gives it more dimension and appeal as the light reflects at different angles where the mesh divet in and out.
You can see how the pebbled parts are matte and the mesh areas have a sheen from the light. Really stunning.

^Love it missty4! Great pics! I fondled the mesh at Barneys a while ago. It looked very cool, but I would be so afraid to accidentally snag it on something. Knowing my luck, I would.

For the record, I can squeeze baby Rocco's straps on my shoulder, and my arms are by no means twiggy, but they tend to slip off easily, too. It's not comfortable, but doable.

i am in the market for either the mini or baby and have been researching both for days but have yet to come to a decision. PLEASE HELP! questions as follows:

-what is the actual size difference in the two? does someone have both that can post photos of them side by side?
-is the baby large enough to fit a standard magazine inside?
-are both the baby and mini available in black/brass and black/black? i haven't found a photo of a baby in black/brass.
-any input on the usability of the black/brass vs the black/black with regard to the color?
-regarding the strap on the newer versions: is this only available on the mini? does anyone know the length of the strap when it's adjusted to the SHORTEST length? photos of this? i like a strap, but not a long/messenger style strap.
-any input on the baby not having the exterior pocket vs the mini having it?
-any input on the difference in the two stud types? which is the older of the two types?
-any suggestions on sites that may currently have coupon offerings?
-should i be scared of buying one from the bay?

The bag is heavy and the earlier versions did not have straps, strictly hand held and it is heavy ... Correct me if I'm wrong but I think only the Mini comes with the strap.

Correct me if I'm wrong doesn't the zipper match the studs? Mine is brass with brass a zipper, iluvmybags your zipper is black and your studs are black, Silver studs have a silver zipper.

By the way congrats, iluvmybags your new arrival is beautiful.

I've been waffling back and forth from a Rocco and a Darcy... Can someone measure the drop in the handle for the rocco mini? I'm assuming its leather and will have some give because this may be the deciding factor.
