I've used Leather Honey and Vectra spray on my two Roccos. And Vectra only on my Jane. All 3 bags looked the same before and after (the granite Rocco more moisturized, but no color change). I just used edge kote so I can't recommend that, yet. I don't know if the shopper is more like Rocco or Jane leather. So Vectra I recommend at the very least. :)

hey,
i have a lovely eggshell marion AW bag waiting to be used. i've had it 2 months but I have been too scared to use it in case of colour transfer or if it gets dirty.

any recommendations on how to protect this baby or prevent it from colour transfers?

i'm from aus- so any products that i could get here would be heaps handy!

I ordered the neutral edge kote from stecksstore.com about a week ago. It looks milky colored, but it goes on clear. I think it was about $6. HTH!

I had the same thing happen to my Rocco just months after buying it! It was my first designer handbag, so you can imagine my disappointment after spending so much money on it.. Thankfully though I got my money back, but love it so much I got a new one (but saved some money this place) but Im really nervous now that it will happen again.. :/
I just purchased my first Balenciaga.. Reading your post Booksandbags made me soo nervous.. Hopefully it will age well!

Thanks for the tip! I just went to the website but can't find Edge Kote in "neutral." However, they sell "Bag Kote" in that color. Is this the product you purchased? Thank you!

Hmm, I'm not sure what the bag kote is, but what I ordered is edge kote. They might be out of stock. You could try emailing them to see if they have it.

Does anyone which online site here in Australia where i can get the Neutral Edge Kote? I have the black Edge Kote and it wasnt that bad but makes the leather stiff and dry once u applied it.I have a black Rocco in rosegold

i don't know where to get in AU but try moisturizing before you apply the edge kote next time. i've never had a problem with dryness and cracking.

I've had my Rocco since mid July so I feel like I can weigh in on this issue here. So far, I can report no signs of wear. I moisturized and protected the edges with Edgekote before initial wear and so far, so good. I will also note that I rarely wear it cross-body and only occasionally use the shoulder strap. Also, a tip: be sparing with Edgekote b/c using too much will make the edges super stiff and they will crack! I have 3 TINY ones on the edge of my handle from this, but they're not getting any worse and they really don't bother me. Hope this helps!

hi I just purchased a rocco in birchwood (tan/beige) color and I was just wondering is there any way for me to protect the leather because it's lambskin and I know forsure it'll get stained by water and get color transfer etc. if anyone knows of any ways to try and prevent that would be soooo helpful!

Hi ladies,

I'm currently (im)patiently waiting for my Mercury Rockie to arrive, and just had one quick question: do I condition first, and then protect, or vice versa? Or since the bag is coming NWT, do I need to bother with the conditioner? TIA!
