Some people get off on cr*ptastic mommy porn, my own fetish is for furry animals in bondage...non-PETA approved. You should really stop texting me those pics Squirrel...people will talk ;-)

Agreed...karma will bite us on the butt for talking about FSOG..he'll end up doing the damn thing, knowing our luck.

And all I'm gonna say is ...

Most used gifs ever - not sure tho if it's Alex's reaction to 50 or that he has to go for yet another 'audition' in Squirrel's basement ;)

Zola thank you for that! Totally brilliant CBLA yet again.

As for 50 shades. :btdh:
I want to know who is being paid to keep this in the headlines because every time you turn around someone is talking about it. Did anyone else see the interview with Michelle ***** and they asked her about it? I mean seriously? It was a horrific.

I think this one is going to be a huge risk for anyone because of the level hype. I agree that, IF, there is a great screen adaptation with truely awesome director they may be able to pull it off but if they don't with all the hype people will not be kind of the movie is weak.

While I loved JM's reaction at TIFF, Skars is playing it smart he is not putting himself out of the running, why would he? It is a lead in a movie that had a lot of publicity and he is an actor. Why would he shoot himself in the foot by saying no before seeing a script?

Having said that, this movie will either be the biggest flop of the decade or end being nominated for a freaking Oscar, IF they get it right. Stranger things have happened. (I am having flash backs to that Kubrick monstrosity Eyes Wide Shut)

Do I think it would be a good move? Possibly not but then again a lot of people where skeptical about SHAME as well.. certainly helped to raise Fassy's profile.

Would I go see it? With Skars in it...possibly naked of shirtless for most of the movies... umm...YES!

Just my 2 cents worth...

I agree - and I get his reasons for not just saying no point blank - but I still hope he won't do it..

Yeah, I agree CBLA is totally brilliant. I always go on there when I log on 'cos even if there's nothing new it always makes me smile, oh yeah, that and the pix. (I don't bring the stuff on here all the time because that would be unfair but yeah bril site.)

And I agree the 50 hype is seriously weird - and I didn't know that even Michele ***** had been asked a question on it  Unfortunately, I think most actors have to react with a certain degree of politeness, it just goes with the territory, and I'd completely forgotten about Eyes Wide Shut, let's hope someone reminds Alex.

IF Skars was cast, would I go and see it? Probably not, (and I sat through 13), because all the time I'd be thinking, you lying ******, and yeah, I can see this role was a real challenge. So hmm, anyway it hasn't happened, probly won't, but there's always that teeny little doubt, who knows? Now I really am going to have to dig out that Fassbender quote 'cos when I read it, I thought, Askars that's what you should be saying. That's not to say that I wouldn't look at the YouTube edits and gifs that would soon be hitting the web ;)

Your 2 cents worth are welcome any time :smile1:

^^Exactly! The Fassdong had the balls (no pun intended) to say outright no to it. That shows a lot of character. He doesn't just rely on Hollywood and the good moods of producers.
If it's about Alex getting a "leading" role he could also do porn. It's the same. People see this from the purely business side which is not always good since he wants to be known as a serious actor/character actor. Sure it gets his name out there but for what price? I couldn't take him seriously after that. He should choose his roles from the artistic point of view and not if it gets him lots of recognition and big money. It would also get him his peers' respect. Someone who's praised by his talented colleagues will always have a better chance to get another good role.

Exactly :goodpost:
And I'm not talking about ** any more :smile1:
Feel better already :smile1:

Ah, that was it? I thought that he said something like Julianne, definitive "no" but it's for me just the usual talking which you can easily change and may be both "yes" or "no".

Believe me, he won't do it. Any sane actor won't do it. For me it's a clear no because he doesn't want to be known as the actor who gets his d*ck out all the time.

I don't really think how someone responds to one question about one film role says anything about their career path.

I mean seriously Bag, you're beginning to sound a wee bit bitter. I think Alex responded with manners. Fassy responded bluntly. I think both approaches have merits. Because even if the movie is crap and he doesn't star in it, to come out and diss it when it could very well end up with a good director attached to it...might be unwise.

It's highly doubtful but it might end up being a Last Tango in Paris (again, doubtful) but if it had a good director with another cast...why would you outright dismiss a project when you haven't even seen any of the important details. Co-stars, director and script?

And since when isn't Alex praised by his colleagues? I think he's made some really good choices in his three upcoming film roles, and let's not forget Melancholia. To my way of thinking, he's a classic actor with an indie heart. And he's straddling the mediums of popular filmmaking and independent films reasonably well at the moment.

This of course will see me stamped with the "Alex is St Alex on this thread" BS that makes me laugh. I don't want him to do 50 Shades. I would hate him to do it. But you say career choices are important? Agreed. But having manners doesn't hurt either.

SCREAM AWARDS 2012

Just a note this is not too far off. They are scheduled for October 13 and an air date of October 16 in the US.

I haven't seen any links for voting yet, which is sort of odd.

Well, after lurking for a few years now this very month I wouldn't consider you that, I think you are very reasonable. Anyways, hi people, nice to finally post here and I hope to join in on future conversations from time to time.:smile1:
