Happy Tuesday, fellow Islanders!

While I sincerely admire luxury designer bags, I take my cue from Mother Nature when it comes to exploring the alternatives.

For instance, I always thought that only oysters produce pearls. :queen:

But apparently clams, mussels, the Queen conch, and Melo sea snail also produce their own versions of pearls.

So while all the bags I own have not one luxury designer bag among them, there are plenty of “pearls” to be found. :giggle:

:goodpost:Fim.
TPF is a microcosm…
We mustn’t forget that 99% of women, even the ones admiring luxury designer bags, don’t own one and will never do.
I spent two weeks in Paris and sitting at an outdoor café and looking at the passers by like everybody else, I only saw a few ladies carrying Chanel ….No Hermès bags in sight either. I had to walk along Avenue Montaigne ( the temple of Haute Couture) to finally see ladies wearing Chanel or Hermès bags.
In my home city, practically no one carries luxury bags…except for a a few very young ladies wearing the same small ( and adorable) YSL bag…the absolute « it bag » of the moment.

Happy Wednesday, fellow Islanders! :beach:

Taking the lessons I learned assisting my son in law when he replaced our decrepit hot water heater…. :sweatdrop:

I went solo yesterday, ridiculously pleased with myself for installing a new shower head without incident.

But what (you may well ask) has any of this to do with bags? :confused1:

Just this. If “Fim Fix-it” has taught me anything, it’s “use the right tool for the job” :ok:

So rather than think of our how ever many bags as mere accessories or indulgences…. :cutesy:

They do the job. :smash:

Happy Tuesday, fellow Islanders.

It’s another gray dank cold spring day.

But I flew the flag of defiance when I went to my hairdresser’s with a bag as crazy as this weather.

Impervious to the rain and never failing to lift my spirits…my Piero Guidi tote. :giggle:

Needed a change even though I love carrying the Valentino. A bit of color

Two cheerful colours and bags, Fim and Tomsmom.
Same dreadful weather in my place too….
And a red nylon LP for me today….IMG_0659.jpeg
