Welcome back, Mariapia!Hi everyone!😀
I have just read all your recent posts and it has been a real pleasure to be back here.
Don’t worry, my dear friends, everything is fine.👍
The thing is I just spent two weeks in Paris….
I visited a lot of department stores and boutiques and the only bag I wanted to have a look at ( The Margaux ) was out of stock everywhere.
What surprised me was the number of foreign ladies waiting in lines outside Polène and Jacquemus boutiques….🤔
I didn’t know those two brands were so popular abroad….
I also went to the Puces of Clignancourt ( a huge Parisian Flea Market) where I saw lots of young foreign tourists buy second hand clothes dating back to the 60’s ….
The only thing I bought during my stay was….a TooFaced foundation cream….🥺
This is beautiful!Welcome back, Mariapia!
I haven’t been able to post much lately due to my always unreliable internet service.
But apparently the problem has been resolved (for now).
The only thing I have to report is finding one of my hitherto long lost bags I’d tucked away only to forget where exactly I’d put it.
My Bicchi Italian croc embossed bag I am now fully intending on wearing more often so I won’t be misplacing it again anytime soon.

I never dress up so my fancy bags are just going to have suffer being carried while I'm wearing jeans!Thank you, whateve.
I really have to kick myself for thinking this bag was better suited for more cosmopolitan occasions rather than my admittedly casual lifestyle.
But I’m past that nonsense now.![]()
Always! lolI never dress up so my fancy bags are just going to have suffer being carried while I'm wearing jeans!
At least you remembered you had it, Fim.😉Welcome back, Mariapia!

I would have given it to her too, Fim.Happy Monday, fellow Islanders!
Having spent a portion of this past Saturday down in the cellar with my son in law successfully installing a new hot water heater….
Bags were the last thing on my mind.
But that came later when I showed my daughter the Patricia Nash sage green Claretta I’d recently acquired. And she loved it so much….
I knew what I had to do.
“Well who do you think I bought it for?” I lied.
And I’m glad I did. Because for me it was simply a nice bag while for my daughter it’s the sage green bag she’d always envisioned.![]()
I would have given it to her too, Fim.
About 10 years ago, one of my Parisian friends came to my place and asked to see my bag collection.
She immediately fell in love with my YSL Muse which I had bought ( pre loved) a few months before.
I said « you love it, just take it »
She was very embarrassed but I stood my ground… and she left with it.
A few weeks later she told me she had been to the Hotel de Crillon for a coffee and had never felt out of place in such a beautiful hotel thanks to her stunning YSL bag….
Exactly, Fim.😀👍Well done, Mariapia!
Bags aren’t only to make us happy but offer the opportunity to make others happy as well.![]()
