It has happened to all of us, Fim.I think you and I both remember when I’d inadvertently bought a fake Kate Spade years ago from my local Thrift Store.
As I recall, you my friend had actually lost sleep over it, hoping I’d realize I’d been duped before you’d have to break the bad news.
Fortunately by the next morning I’d discovered the error of my ways and the fake bag went into the trash where it rightfully belonged.
But hopefully we’ve all learned from the experience, Mariapia.It has happened to all of us, Fim.
But it never gets any easier. These days with the plethora of knockoffs on the market mimicking “the real thing” vigilance has never been more imperative.

While the bags I have say a lot about myself, the bags I don’t have say even more.
Currently I don’t own what I’d always considered the “indispensable” black bag.
Naturally throughout my professional career I’d always owned at least one.
But now as my lifestyle has become far more casual since retiring, I rely more on my bags to define my vibe.

I have very few black bags, Fim.Happy Wednesday, fellow Islanders!
While the bags I have say a lot about myself, the bags I don’t have say even more.
Currently I don’t own what I’d always considered the “indispensable” black bag.
Naturally throughout my professional career I’d always owned at least one.

My favourite colour has always been « tan ». I call it an easy colour as I can carry it all year round.
I also like red and light blue which I wear in winter too.
And I include green and yellow in my all year round collection.
There are so many beautiful colours that black has never been my first choice….though I understand it can be, as you say, a woman’s indispensable colour.
I suppose my two quilted Dooneys technically qualify as black bags, Mariapia.I have very few black bags, Fim.

I was in Macys and this bag I was looking at last week was marked but not enough for me to buy. Today I went to return a pair of shoes and the bag was marked down again!! Yayyyyy!!! And Whooohoo!!
