I equate her to Christina Aguilera, a great voice - but - I do not want to hear all those runs and vocal power housing in every single song in every single sentence. Not my taste.

I liked Adele in the beginning of her career, she seemed more relatable .. a heavier set (but still beautiful) woman who had gone through various issues with men, herself (low self-confidence, etc.) .. how many woman could relate to that?!?
However as time went on, and I heard ballad after ballad, I got tired of it.
Have to agree with those posters who have said “one trick pony”. Yes, she has an amazing voice, but as an Artist myself (Jewelry), to me .. the mark of a great artist is versatility .. change it up, push your boundaries, get out of that comfort zone .. then, you can truly say “a great artist”!
What worries me about Adele, is that (unfortunately) given her lack of self-confidence, she’s a prime candidate for (what I refer to) as the “Hollywood Synchophant” .. those that will kiss the star’s ass, never say NO .. in essence, create a ‘beast’ that becomes impossible to deal with, much less work with/for .. since they are NEVER wrong and ALWAYS KNOW THE RIGHT WAY to do things .. sound familiar?!?! We have a lot of divas like that!
In regards to Adele’s dislike of large crowds, she’s not alone in that (Carly Simon also had issues with large ‘live’ audiences). The thing is, either you don’t book yourself into these types of venues -OR- you get help in how to deal with the large audiences (my God - Adele certainly has the $$$ to do that)!
Personally, I would be mighty peeved if I had purchased tickets (especially airline and hotel), so I hope she makes good for those folks!!!

Adele says her Vegas residency was postponed because of a massive COVID outbreak on her crew, but multiple sources connected to Caesars Palace claim the real reason the show is on ice is because Adele's displeased with the production.

I read it was something about a pool, yes a pool that she didn’t want, but this is Vegas so as others have said, book a small venue if you want something more intimate.
It seemed like the problem wasn't that she wanted something more intimate but that she wanted a big production and perfection. If she wanted intimate, she could have stood there and sang - which she does very well
They should have taken ideas from her "one night only" performance with Oprah. It was beautiful! I know a lot was filmed with drones..but I mean, the backdrop was very simple. Let her voice stand on it's own. That's what people are paying for.

I agree with everyone. I don’t think anyone had expectations of a crazy set or lots of tricks. This isn’t Lady Gaga or Pink

I my mom asked me to look up Tickets prices to Adele's concert back when it sold out and when I told her the prices she was like WOW. My mom was like that's too much for some tickets, smh. Nope.
