five weeks is not a long period of time for a complicated stage production. It takes a lot to get that right between choreography and tech. (Although “Five Weeks in Fresno” sounds like a great title for a weird movie starring Brad Pitt)
I dunno, I’ve always found Adele’s public persona insufferable. Yes you have a great voice, but the whole diva and take-me-so-seriously-in-the-depths-of-feelings routine is a bit much. It doesn’t surprise me at all that she would pull the plug with no thought to the fans and the losses.

I used to love Adele. Her first two albums were great. I even went to her concert in the VIP section, sitting mere rows from the stage. I have completely lost interest in her music. I have not even heard her new album beyond that one song she has released which I find annoying (go easy on me). Her songs have the same theme and it gets uninteresting. And she is so overexposed. This was before her cancelled her concert at the last minute. Didn’t buy her reason at all. I would be so peeved if I had purchased tickets, paid for hotel and airfare and made the effort to travel to see her in these Covid times. Would never go to one of her concerts again. Think this will turn a lot of people off her in the long term.
she was tearful when she announced it and I was sympathetic but as the story unfolds I think a lot of goodwill will be lost
I thought cancelling the entire residency on 24 hour notice for Covid was egregious as I didn’t buy the excuse but yes she is loosing a lot of goodwill as the story unfolds and the truth will come out (if it has not already).
I was really excited for this residency but after Ticketmaster seemed to have sold all the tickets to secondary market I was done. I’ve never had a so much problems getting tickets—- cost and availability then she canceled. just lost interest, it’s not ok that fans has lost time and money, I don’t think she cares at all. She’s probably on the verge of changing management with her boyfriend’s group, who knows! Maybe a change of style! The undoing of Adele.

Now I'm hearing that the guy that Adele is dating right, that Adele was yelling and screaming and crying on the phone with him and that is why Adele wasn't able to get through that practice for her Vegas show. SMH. It's just so crazy. I heard that he's not happy that the relationship is now public either, yikes.
