Her show was also only on the weekends, so if they cancelled one weekend, it would have made more sense,,
Covid wouldn’t cancel the whole residency. Delay a show or two sure.
the not receiving deliveries is what does it for me. If I know that I’m trying to get suppliers to get my orders in before first show, and I know there should be time for assembling and running through to make sure… there is no way in hell am I going to expect the delivery day before and be up and running the next day. So for her to wait until the very last minute imho when someone should have been chasing for a definitive answer of whether that **** is going to be coming a week before minimal the show starts.
And if I don’t have an answer by the time two weeks before the first show starts eg show is January 22nd and I don’t have an answer by January 8th, I would have made the executive decision to cancel rather than risk it cutting so close.
But Adele can - right?
I was thinking she should just go on stage and do so, it would be so intimate and charming... and very special.
The rumor that is going around right now is that Adele had or is having surgery on the vocal cordsor something like that and they can't sing and that is why the show has been cancelled.

The cancellation day before? Not buying it, logistics issues would have been known at least 48hours out from the show. Time enough for people to get refunds/postponing before getting on planes.

I read people spent thousands on airfares and hotels for this performance.
It reminds me of someone I once knew who took out a loan to travel to see Barbra Streisand's last, ever performance before retirement (as it was advertised) - and then Babs came out of retirement just a year later.
No performer is worth so much money, IMHO.

I'm sure. But many will be out expenses for travel, etc. which is why we're talking about the cancellation being a day before.
