Obviously she (or her people) wanted celebs in the audience.
Again, I am really disappointed in Adele. She has bought the celeb thing so bad.....wish she'd go home to England, eat a sandwich and be herself again

interesting....of course, as she says, she is speculating. the idea of someone having a facelift at age 33 or earlier seems just wrong to me. and a neck lift (or whatever neck procedure) at that age?
I have to admit Adele does look a lot better than the very early pictures of her. but I'm still disappointed she's gone so Hollywood. I guess the lure of glamour and fame is seductive, even to someone who is very talented.
Lorry is saying she doesn't think it's a facelift - just some kind of double chin removal, neck lift, because an 100 pound weight loss in only one year results in a sagging, not a tightening like Adele's new jaw/neck.
One day notice is brutal. Can you imagine how many people had already flown in and booked hotels? Yeesh.
I'm sure it sucks for everyone (Adele, the fans)... But we are still wrangling with a pandemic that is at its peak - hard not to expect that this could happen.
All I know is that if I spent 6K on a ticket, booked a flight, Covid test and a hotel I wouldn't be so pleased they waited until the day before to pull the plug. Adele seems to do no wrong. All the comments on IG are all just "awww, poor you" *shrug*
I didn't say that at all. Listen, pandemic is 2 years in, it's no ones fault. She said herself the show "ain't ready" surely then knew that before 24 hours to opening. THAT'S my point
She said half her team has Covid, they haven't received deliveries.....I don't know where you live, but there's a huge shortage of labor in every field in the US right now; in my area there are 100 people a day testing positive and I live in a small place. Just think if those 100 people that tested positive yesterday were her crew?! Maybe you live where Covid isn't an issue? But it sure the heck is in the US!

The fact that John Legend has a residency right after hers was supposed to take place makes me think this might not be rescheduled until Fall at the earliest
The question is why cancel the whole residency —- why not few shows. This is actually not the first time it has happened, she’s done this before and so far those shows were sort of permanently canceled despite promises of rescheduling—- now this happened pre-COVID.
