Thanks! I was surprised at the results. I think it is still slightly visible but what I'm seeing now is that the heat application tucked in the leather part that "pooched out" and made that pucker happen on the bottom. Like I said, I doubt it was really THAT visible but I could see it and , well, we all know as Coachies how that can go!

Funny , too, as you remind me of your gorgeous grey gathered, I wish my outlet had gotten that shade in....I only have 2 grey bags in my collection...one being the jeweled sophia and I still am not sure it was a great idea for me to keep her....I did decide to, but she is so limited in use and seems to be much more of a "love it" or "hate it" (no middle!) kinda bag. I wish I could have gotten the grey gathered instead!!! But I guess that's just collecting--wishing we could have ALL of them!!!!!:presents:presents:presents

That is great! Had I known to try that I may not have gotten rid of my black gathered Sophia when I saw gathers coming undone under five times using her

OMG, I even thought about PMing you first, to see what you thought of my crazy idea...as you rehab bags so expertly and I felt like Mickey Mouse with my iron and shirt idea!!! I just prayed I that I wouldn't heat stamp the dye right off the leather!

I remember how sad you were to have to return that bag. N/S this would have worked on multiple gathers coming undone. This was more an issue of too much leather in that one gather, that didn't get sewn in all the way so it stuck out. You did the right thing returning yours, IMO, though it was very hard to do, I'm sure.

Sometimes you just have to try something and see how it works! I think the bags looks terrific, nice job!

Great idea! I personally keep my Gathered Sophia stored empty, on one side and with an Audrey on top of it...I find that the gathers usually "gather" back together. But yours works for a quick fix! :D
