The date would be the letter in the square, it could be very faint. The stamps on the tabs often are....

Can you get a picture of that from the seller?

I think this bag is authentic, but please know that Hermes will not service the interior. I would also like to hear from others on this, I do not know this seller at all....the toolhaus.org feedback is a little spotty on this one, its hard to say what the real issues were....

Thank you for using the format, awesome job!! :flowers:

Hello again -

Further to my earlier posting, here are the details in what I hope is the correct format:

I AM INVITING YOUR VALUED COMMENTS/OPINION - AUTHENTICATION on the following:

ITEM: HERMES BOMBAY IN BLACK BOX LEATHER

LISTING NO:360227396910

SELLER; The HAUTE Spot/ Goodkarna in Chicago/Ill.

Link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....396910&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_3824wt_826

Z? eh? What year would that be - any answers?

In grateful anticipation - nervously coventing Bombay bag in Norfolk/England...but a bit suspicious, despite the consiger selling designer stuff....

Many thanks.

Comments from seller, in response to question on craftsman stamp:
"After carefully examining this bag, I have noticed a faint embossment under the exterior leather tab. It seems to read Z81 with a small square before the Z."

I am glad this had a happy ending. At the risk of sounding like I do when I lecture my daughter....the seller could also have very easily popped you over the head to steal the money he or she would have rightly assumed you had on your person, since you were willing to pay for the bag if it was authentic. I would NEVER recommend this and hope you got that out of your system!!

Hi Pepper & co

As I said yesterday, I went to an official Hermès store yesterday with the bag. The seller was so positive about the bag being genuine that she had absolutely no objections to my taking it to the store for confirmation, without having paid the bag. The rest of the story is, you will be happy to hear, only a confirmation of your supreme expertise in this matter :) The saleswoman at Hermès quickly confirmed your suspicions, and was positive that the bag is a fake. It's probably not a "made in China" fake, but definitely a fake, possibly "Made in Italy"
I know what you will say: " we told you so" etc, but for all it's worth, I quite liked the adventure and didn't lose any money, and this proves yet again that YOU ARE FABULOUS AUTHENTICATORS :)

et voilà, end of story, thanks for your advice!

Hi Hermes authenticators,

Can anyone authenticate the Hermes Accessory thread? It is almost a dead thread with more question not being answered. Or does anyone knows if I bought a Hermes, can I bring it down to any Hermes store to authenticate it? What should I say?
'I bought this from ebay, can you authenticate this for me?'

Or should I not say I bought it from ebay?
It is brand new, so I can't act as though I am bringing it down for spa?

Is anyone familar with Cozzi_88. I bought a Hermes from her. Pretty efficient seller.

TIA

Item : HERMES Black KELLY 32
Link : http://cgi.ebay.com/HERMES-Black-KE...H_Handbags?hash=item19ba03f0c0#ht_5575wt_1115
Listing # 110495002816
Seller : daikokuya

I have seen other posts re; this seller, but don't see anything pertaining to this particular bag. Please authenticate? And would very much appreciate any other comments. I see from the date stamp that this bag is supposedly from 1996, correct? Thank you very much for your time.

Will have a look in the accessory thread see if I can be helpful.

This looks authentic to me.

Thank you so much CobaltBlu! for your awesomely speedy reply. I am very grateful. I agree that the bag looks ok which is why I am interested...but the seller cannot provide higher resolution photos, nor answer any question about the provenance of this bag...So I am treading cautiously...also they've dropped the price which is almost too good to be true. The listing ends in 5 hrs but I think I lack the courage!

In my search I came across two ebay sellers (one has operated for 10! Years 'eboutique') neither of which seem to be listed in the purseforum's 'beware these sellers' nor the 'bona fide sellers list.... both sellers offer the HIMALAYA Birkins, one a 30cm, the other 2 (!!) : a 30cm and 25cm bag. This seems unbelievable - I understand only about 8 of these were made - one is worn by Victoria Beckham.

I am a newby on this site....How to report these sellers?
If you are interested, you may look at

Item: HIMALAYA BIRKIN 30 cm

Seller: 'hermes**'

Item no. 380205398149

Link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/THE-HOLY-GRAI..._Handbags?hash=item588601f885#ht_18717wt_1684

As for 'eboutique' - what a garish site! surely 2 HIMALAYA Birkins in one listing must be a hoax, non?

Kind regards to a fellow Hermes fan,

M
