Hi everyone! I have finally managed to save up my money to purchase a secondhand birkin on my own! it took months of starving on ramen and hermiting but I cannot wait! any help would be appreciated! I've been drooling over Rachel Zoe's vert veronese and came across this vert olive.

I think the stamp might be a K....or even a H since it is very faded( that happens easily with box leather) it is quite possible, and that would be consistant with the bag itself.

I believe the bag is authentic and the seller is just trying to sell it without getting involved in the Hermes thing YKWIM? they did not even call it Paris-Bombay, but just Bombay. My feeling is that they do not care that much about Hermes, and most probably the consignee does not care about how much $$$ they will get from the bag.

Re Craftsman stamp - letter dating: Do I take it the current letter is an M for 2010? Would it be an idea to do an 'authenticate sticky' which serves as a date-stamp 'dictionary'? This would be very helpful, as I think fakes take letters at random...

I have seen a Hermes Bombay bag on a website which showed the following stamp: L 9 Z! It was in the waterproof (furrowed) leather (the name of which I forget....)

The year stamp on this particular Paris Bombay is an L in a square which means that the bag is made in the year 2008 which is corresponse to the description of the bag sold.............;)
