Thanks for your concern, really, and GraceKelly, I understand if you want to stay out of this. I'm just curious to find out about this bag and the seller, it's my nature ;o) and I'm not going to buy anything without absolute certainty that it's authentic.
There are a few positive factors for its authenticity: this person is, just as me, working for an international organisation, earning a very high salary and not in desperate need of money. If she sells a fake, she knows that it could have major consequences as I could tell people about it, and it would be pretty bad for her reputation.

Of course you can never trust someone just because of the work they do, the money they earn, etc. But what if she just doesn't care and doesn't like the bag, and just wants to get rid of it? She didn't even know what type it was (thought it was the Kelly) so it shows she's not all that interested...

But I'm not going to carry any money on me, I'm going to photograph everything necessary for anyone who wants to authenticate, and we'll see from there.. And if no one's willing to authenticate, I'm not going to buy it of course!!

Phew, well, it's quite exciting, even if it turns out to be one big scam ;)

I too am going to wish you well, and back out of this one. Despite the same message that has been provided by many smart people here, you seem determined to forge ahead with what feels to me to be just a little smidgen too much giddy optimism--with the idea that this might still possibly be ok. In my grouchy, guarded viewpoint, this is never ok. Just me. Even if I saw the best images in the world, I don't like the scenario and I am, sadly, not comfortable continuing. If you originally mistook a birkin for a kelly, and the seller could not even be clear about the difference, you are at a huge disadvantage walking into this. You could see great images and wind up a day later in a bait-and-switch scenario.

If you go ahead, of course I wish you well. Against, in my book, all odds.

could someone look at this for me? thanks so much--jenni

I'm sorry to nag, but I'm very anxious. Last week you felt this ebay bag was authentic. I bought it and it arrived last night. I just want to be sure. I have compared the auction photos to the bag, and I feel pretty sure this is not a bait and switch. But so I can relax and enjoy my bag... could you please look at these additional photos that I took... Please let me know if this bag is indeed authentic.
