2025 Resolution: Shopping my own Bag and SLG Collection

Oops, I forgot, I just ordered a new pair of DMs although they now belong to the May tally. It felt really weird not having a spare pair should anything happen, and as you may know I had to throw out a pair that broke and were unrepairable (not the stitched sole kind). I had to order them from Free People though.

I am still looking for a nice pair of shoes for an occasion, Chanel had a great pair to wear under my Saint Laurent wide-legs, but it's too late for my cousin's big day next week and possibly the double function I'm going to 5 days later. I may wear some shop-from-my-own-closet Terry de Havilands, Gucci, Sonia Rykiel or Prada.

DH has a new growth and is going to have an operation - my mind is everywhere but I'd rather not 'say' too much about it atm
Hugs dear!

Didn’t get to use my bags much because was busy at work catching up after my trip.

But I did a bit of spring cleaning after all my shopping lol so that was nice.

Brought this bag out today. Not the most spring of colors but green reminded me of growth and how flowers spring up. Also got this twilly on my trip as well and I thought it did a nice job of brightening up an otherwise more serious and mature bag.

Sorry, I’ve been playing a lot of catch up and I wish you all well!
This is what happens when I take long vacation, I have a lot of people coming up to me with things. Good to be busy of course, but I hadn’t taken a long vacation since the pre-pandemic days and it was a bit of an adjustment to follow-up with everyone.
Great Stats!

Great Stats! Love the amount of books you read. I only read two last month.

I am returning a bag I just received to a center called happy returns, but there was literally no packaging on the bag. It had been tossed in a cardboard box in its dust cover that doesn't even cover the whole bag. They say to just bring the item and the QR code for returns. How do I know the strap or something will not disappear till they actually get the item back to the original company? Has anyone returned something like this with no packaging to protect the item? For now, I put it in its original overly small shipping box but they will have to open it to check it.

I've never used that place but a lot of my Amazon returns are done like that. I've never had a problem. I think the place may package several items together that are going to the same place in order to save on shipping costs.

Thanks! I have done it with cheap items that had packaging. They took the bag stuck it in a clear bag and tossed it in a box. It just seems odd for a leather bag . The bag came with the tag inside so I left it there. She did scan it. Ugh! I would never treat a bag so poorly.

I'm sorry you got a disappointing bag and have to return.
Amazon does the no packaging no label here. You are supposed to take the Item to DHL and they will stuff it in an envelope or a collection bin. I usually put my items in a clear plastic bag and tape it up, so no small pieces can escape. But honestly I think amazon wouldn't care much and all these returns go to some returns center and not back onto the regular shelves. Says a lot about how items are valued.

April Stats -

Bags in or out - 1 in, 0 out - the new in is a leather Moreau Bregancon tote in Champagne. Carrying it today so I am accidentally on for one of the May Challenges!
Scarves in or out - 2 in, 0 out. The new ins are a 140 Moussie Under the Waves, and a vintage La Vie Grand Air - I finally caved to the darling dandelion on it.

Purses carried - 10 different purses, most carried was the Tory Burch bucket bag in ivory. I took it to live in our second home permanently, and I carried it 7 times while we were there in April.

Books read - 3 - A Bakery in Paris by Aimie Runyon, The God of the Woods by Liz Moore, and Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix.
Currently listening to The Women by Kristen Hannah.

I donated a few items, mostly household goods; bought several casual dresses to wear instead of shorts this summer, and found a few decor items for the house.
