On Wednesday my sister and I went out to lunch with my Father, for his birthday, in a smart Italian restaurant (the carer looked after my Mum).

We all enjoyed ourselves , my sister drove so that he could drink, the food was excellent, they put a candle in his tiramisu and sang Happy Birthday.
He looked well and happy, which was lovely to see, my Mum would have loved the restaurant ..but we didn’t let that spoil it for us.

Apparently my Niece is going to work in Austria for a while when she graduates-I’ll see her in the summer.

Today is the dreaded hysteroscopy, I’m Realiy not in the mood for it and would love to cancel-my girlfriend is taking me..my admirer has a holiday already booked for a fortnight which he wanted to cancel, but I wouldn’t let him, telling him that I had no intention of cancelling mine later in the year.

Life is busy!
Will be thinking healing thoughts for you. Speedy Recovery!

Thank you! I'm tempted to add camel color to my collection, but I also like how it looks now and this collection fulfills all my needs. I don't want to increase my number of bags so I'm talking myself out of buying more bags. I know taupe color works better for my wardrobe than camel color, so I need to appreciate what I have more. As for bag designs, the bags I already have work better than anything I could get in terms of design and color. I kept these bags because I enjoy using them the most and they could do what my other bags could, but my other bags couldn't do what these could. Why try to buy a bag I like less than what I already own?
SIKE, I bought the camel versions Polene Huit and Polene Neuf. LOL.

I can't believe we are almost at the end of the month. How did everyone do with the challenges? I wore at least two my light bags twice. I listed multiple things and conditioned a lot of my bags. I love the challenges.
I love the challenges, too, but definetely failed as far as wearing light coloured or floral bags is concerned. I tlc' ed some bags, though. No listing or selling bags at all. There aren't any that need to go. What I did was tidy up my wardrobe and the clothes racks in the basement and attic a bit and sort my "private shoe shop" in the attic. (Mainly to make room for some charity shop additions... Oops.)
I guess I shopped a bit much this month. The local charity shop is becoming my retail therapy, my weekly mini- holiday. As long as this little escape doesn't do any harm to anybody, I think it's OK.
DS has started to wait for my return and go through my finds checking whether I found something nice for him. He was really happy with his Hugo Boss dress shoes and is having an eye on a pair of posh black jeans I bought for myself. They look like dress pants, but are stretchy. I really like them, but will let him try them on. If the waist works for him, we can share. They fit me perfectly.

Great job! You rocked the challeneges.

I wasn’t perfect but did pretty well. I wore 4 summery colored bags but only two of them twice. I also did well with clean out as I gifted two bags and sold one bag!

Anyone want to give suggestions for June Challenges? I have a few to post and can add them.

It didn’t really go as expected..

My doctor/surgeon is very nice, and did his best, but I’ve never had children, and (without being too graphic), he couldn’t complete the procedure…

I have to return in 4 weeks and it done under general anaesthesia.
I tried to make light of it, and made him laugh, it also hadn’t helped that I’d reacted to the paracetamol Id taken an hour previously and was feeling dreadful..

So I have it all to go through again, but worse..

ETA
In addition he had the results of my scan, and unfortunately it’s looking as if a hysterectomy is on the cards..something I had been trying to avoid.
A coil is not an option as I have a life threatening allergy to progesterone.

It’s ok-he just said that I was very small!!!

But I Really don’t want an operation..I’m very independent, and the thought of even needing help to look after the cats fills me with horror..it’s the recovery rather than the surgery itself I’m scared of tbh..
I’m so sorry. If it helps, I had a hysterectomy (not laparoscopic) and I was able to do things. You just plan ahead so you don’t lift heavy things for some weeks after and you learn how to roll out of bed.

I walked home after a night in the hospital and I could make a simple dinner. I had a scooter from ankle cartilage replacement surgery that I used to grocery shop (so I didn’t carry bags). I found it helpful not to read about hysterectomy procedures on line. And, re recovery, I walked a lot

Hope you are okay

ETA: @cecchetti , the hysterectomy website unduly scared me, and I didn’t find my experience was what they described. Just plan ahead so you aren’t lifting large bags of food for your cats. Also, if you tend to keloid scar, tell them ahead of time; ask if a shot of kenalog is possible; and remind them right before the procedure. Not bleeding anymore; no cramps; no untoward bloating and other changes made this worth it. IMO, a mini pill has helped me tremendously to smooth out menopausal hot flashes and help with other things afterwards etc., but that’s your call :)

Thank you ❤️❤️-that’s all very reassuring.

I have my groceries delivered, so that’s not a problem really.
I also walk a lot, both as an ex-dancer, and for weight bearing exercise for osteoporosis.(And just because I love walking).

Maybe reading online isn’t such a good thing.

I am sorry that the surgery is necessary. Perhaps your friend can watch the kitties.
