Not quite bikini weather but I still went to the beach. Loving my Le City at the moment, styled it with my Gucci hinged bangle

And these are my new DMs so now I can alternate and make both pairs last 4 x as long

Love that contrast edge on the new DM’s! :D

IMO, the search for art is good for us bc it’s a slower process; hopefully teaches us patience; and delays the instant dopamine rush of a bag or pair of shoes lol

You’ve inspired me to look for sewing lessons. My mother taught me the basics when I was younger but I’ve forgotten half of that and want to learn more. I’d love to make or upcycle fun things to wear like you do. I love that it gives you unique fashions to
That's great! Enjoy the rabbit hole of sewing!

Very much doing a closet clean out for my bags this month! Working on downsizing my collection this month. I think I'm going to sell the Polene Cyme and Polene Un Nanos that I have. I don't need tote bags and I don't like using flap bags. They can feel bulky but are limited in capacity. I find myself gravitating towards open top bags again. So I'm getting rid of my Polene un nano, celine triomphe bag, kate spade quilted flap bags, dupe box bags, my polene cyme and my demellier midi new york tote. I'm keeping my Coach minetta, gucci horsebit 19655 dupe bag, polene huit, polene neuf, polene dix, and my celine ava and triomphe shoulder bags.
More downsizing/decluttering: I am only keeping my Coach Minetta, Polene Neuf, Huit, and Dix bags.

Love that you are getting so much use out of your le City. I think silver bags are the best. Love your new DM's and the bracelet too.

I didn't buy a new bag but a scarf.

Those that know Hermes, know for quite a few seasons they've had Giant Triangles. There was just a certain cw of a cashmere GT that I kept coming back to. I had a hard time tracking one down in my usual home stores so I checked H in Selfridges, and lo, they had one. The prices are ridiculous - just a couple of years ago I paid similar for a 140. In terms of weight, I think H's cashmere is more costly than the (also forever increasing) gold price.

What made me buy it is because it's a cashmere I can wear in the Spring and Summer. Perfect wrap when the sun goes down.

...and yes, I am trying it with my running vest  I was experimenting with ways of tying. I dislike scarves that I can only wear one or two ways.

I also bought a customised Levis denim skirt and Disney (mini mouse) T-shirt at a new pop-up charity shop. All the money goes to penguins. Any excuse 🐧 :D It wasn't such a spontaneous buy, I was looking for a logo-tee that wasn't a rock cliché and I had been growing Levis own site looking for 100% cotton raw or aged-effect denim (NOT ripped!). It's so hard to get 100% cotton denim anywhere but (ridiculously priced) designer. I do have 'posh' denim but I also like to sit on the beach and not worry about clothes. I thought of @cowgirlsboots as, as soon as I got the skirt home I decided there'd been too much 'aging' and sewed a couple of holes where the skirt could tear further.

Beautiful scarf!

When I was much younger, I worked at Levi's corporate headquarters in San Francisco. They often had employee sales and we could get products for very cheap prices. This was before Internet and resale sites so people only bought for their own personal use. A lot of the items were the samples the salespeople used. I wish I had kept them but none of that stuff would fit me anymore. In 1980, Levi's got the contract to outfit the US Olympic team, but then the US boycotted the Moscow Olympics and there was tons of merchandise sold to employees dirt cheap.

In the interest of transparency, its more than four bags 🤣

Wow, wow, WOW! What a beautifully edited collection. You definitely know yourself and your style!

This is good inspiration for me. I should probably add more to the styles I find most functional - like my Prada Galleria / DZT bags - and consider (eeek!) culling some that I just don’t wear - some of my smaller evening bags are perhaps a place to start my consideration. The former would be so much easier than the latter. But, I’m really glad I got rid of the last 7 bags I sold / consigned at the beginning of the year. Maybe there are one or two more that I’m “blind” to that need to go.

Every time I see someone post about a scarf, I feel so clueless. I wish I knew how to incorporate them into my style. This has such lovely colors.
