I’m super happy! I just gifted two of my bags - my Cartier and Marc Jacobs Stam - to my bestie. She is excited to get them and I’m excited to have someone wear them (It really bothers me for bags to just languish on a shelf.)

I’m packed them up in pretty tissue paper and ribbons to ship them out to her. Yay!

With the bag I sold through consignment that’s 3 bags out. I feel happier and lighter.

I hadn’t set an “out” goal for this year but I think I’d like to reduce by another couple of bags that aren’t getting worn. DD wears my bags at will  but maybe I can just gift her a couple.

If I do have a couple more outs, I’ll feel comfortable buying one more bag in a style I know that works for me - likely a Prada DZT. @poleneinblack your curation is really inspiring.

You are an amazing friend!

I love both bags, but that Cartier is very unusual.

Congratulations! That's amazing work! Yes, I always feel happier and lighter too! I've actually gotten back into bags and fallen back in love with my bags AFTER downsizing significantly. I have a section in my closet that's solely for my bags and seeing the empty space where once it was very crowded and cluttered feels like a breath of fresh air! It feels like breathing room and I've enjoyed looking at it a lot.

I didn't buy a new bag but a scarf.

Those that know Hermes, know for quite a few seasons they've had Giant Triangles. There was just a certain cw of a cashmere GT that I kept coming back to. I had a hard time tracking one down in my usual home stores so I checked H in Selfridges, and lo, they had one. The prices are ridiculous - just a couple of years ago I paid similar for a 140. In terms of weight, I think H's cashmere is more costly than the (also forever increasing) gold price.

What made me buy it is because it's a cashmere I can wear in the Spring and Summer. Perfect wrap when the sun goes down.

...and yes, I am trying it with my running vest  I was experimenting with ways of tying. I dislike scarves that I can only wear one or two ways.

I also bought a customised Levis denim skirt and Disney (mini mouse) T-shirt at a new pop-up charity shop. All the money goes to penguins. Any excuse 🐧 :D It wasn't such a spontaneous buy, I was looking for a logo-tee that wasn't a rock cliché and I had been growing Levis own site looking for 100% cotton raw or aged-effect denim (NOT ripped!). It's so hard to get 100% cotton denim anywhere but (ridiculously priced) designer. I do have 'posh' denim but I also like to sit on the beach and not worry about clothes. I thought of @cowgirlsboots as, as soon as I got the skirt home I decided there'd been too much 'aging' and sewed a couple of holes where the skirt could tear further.
The scarf is absolutely gorgeous -and well done for both finding a non stretch denim skirt and logo tee AND helping the little penguins❤️.

The Saint Laurent event sounds tempting!

That sounds fun!

They just say 'event'. It's not a real event, the SA just gets a book out with selected seasonal stock that hasn't sold - hoping to eek a bit more out of their loyal customers before the seasonal overstock makes its way to the outlets. The worst thing for them is when they have the elevated stuff unsold.

One of the reasons I go in early and hard to SLP is they sell out of the no-brainer stuff early. Le Smoking in every size, reasonably priced 'cool girl' bags, smart-casual shoes and wow heels are sold out really fast. Sheer evening gowns and full-on '80s blousons not so much.

If there's a usable bag, a Le Smoking that's different to ones I already own or a cool pair of boots/shoes I maybe interested, but that's precisely what usually sells out.

I have not been the best with shopping my closet this month. I have however sold a lot lately. No sooner than I told Sparkle nothing was moving, that night things started to go. I sold my liberty london bag because I found a slight flaw and it annoyed me. It was barely visible but I couldn't unsee it. I then found a cute MCM tiny crossbody that has a clutch that pops out. Received a bag for Mothers day and picked up an inexpensive bag at TJ Maxx because I liked the color and because I had TJ gift cards that paid for it. I have regular 4 bags out so far this month another 2 sport bags. Some is definitely stress shopping but I am happy with everything.

That's awesome and a lovely thing to do!

You've sold 4 bags this month - that's fantastic! I know what you mean about finding a flaw and then not being able to 'unsee' it - I am the same way. I"m glad you're happiness with your new ins!

Well done!

I saw today TK Maxx (UK equivalent) has a grey suede and leather Anya Hindmarch for £199. It was probably 70% off.

I did not succumb!
