Thank you! I'm tempted to add camel color to my collection, but I also like how it looks now and this collection fulfills all my needs. I don't want to increase my number of bags so I'm talking myself out of buying more bags. I know taupe color works better for my wardrobe than camel color, so I need to appreciate what I have more. As for bag designs, the bags I already have work better than anything I could get in terms of design and color. I kept these bags because I enjoy using them the most and they could do what my other bags could, but my other bags couldn't do what these could. Why try to buy a bag I like less than what I already own?Wow, wow, WOW! What a beautifully edited collection. You definitely know yourself and your style!
This is good inspiration for me. I should probably add more to the styles I find most functional - like my Prada Galleria / DZT bags - and consider (eeek!) culling some that I just don’t wear - some of my smaller evening bags are perhaps a place to start my consideration. The former would be so much easier than the latter. But, I’m really glad I got rid of the last 7 bags I sold / consigned at the beginning of the year. Maybe there are one or two more that I’m “blind” to that need to go.
Every time I see someone post about a scarf, I feel so clueless. I wish I knew how to incorporate them into my style. This has such lovely colors.
Congrats! It's so important for me to appreciate what I have and spend time doing other things in life besides shopping. I want to spend more time on my hobbies and with my family. I also added bags to my collection beginning of this year and last year, and I didn't need to. Just finished selling them. I'm in this with you!Join me in congratulating myself!!
Today is an important day for me! By this day last year, I had already purchased 10 bags. This ultimately proved to be a series of bad decisions as I ultimately sold 3 of them, am thinking of selling 2 more I have yet to wear and have only worn 3 of the remaining 5 that I think I’ll keep.I was doing some unhinged stress buying.
But! As of that same day this year, I have only purchased two bags - both of which I’ve worn several times.
I think my diversion to other activities like learning French and exploring art, and working out have been big helps. This group is also so supportive and I appreciate the commiseration, gentle encouragement to self evaluate and thoughtful activities we do to keep me focused on what I have vs feeding the silliness within who always wants more. Thanks for helping me in my journey!
Gorgeous collection! ❤️❤️❤️
I agree - stunning!
Thank you all for your kind words!Great collection, nicely edited I can see your personal style
The budget I have-I have set an annual clothing budget since I was 19(obviously it has gone up since then!)- although often I go over it.
Making room in my closet atm isn’t so easy, as there’s nothing I want to clear right now-there will be by the end of summer.
Thank you for your advice!❤️
Great idea
Didn't realize one of the challenges for this month was for cleaning and conditioning, which I did after decluttering my collection. This picture is of all the bags cleaned and soaking in some Leather Honey before being put in dust bags again. What do other TPFers use?In the interest of transparency, its more than four bags 🤣

ME LOL. I made powerpoints of my bag collection and save screenshots on my phone so at any point I can pull the picture up and remind myself of what I already own.I am often drawn to bags similar to what I already own. When I'm out shopping, sometimes I'll forget what I have until I bring the new bag home.
Same. I’ve tracked but ignored my budget for discretionary spend. I haven’t bought bags but I’ve spent quite a lot on redecorating my living room, hearth room and bedroom. 😬I’m getting back on track in June.I need to go back on my low buy and work on budgeting again. I track my spending but I haven't been very good at sticking to my budget.
Fabulous cw of RL - I have been very tempted by it.I didn't buy a new bag but a scarf.
Those that know Hermes, know for quite a few seasons they've had Giant Triangles. There was just a certain cw of a cashmere GT that I kept coming back to. I had a hard time tracking one down in my usual home stores so I checked H in Selfridges, and lo, they had one. The prices are ridiculous - just a couple of years ago I paid similar for a 140. In terms of weight, I think H's cashmere is more costly than the (also forever increasing) gold price.

What made me buy it is because it's a cashmere I can wear in the Spring and Summer. Perfect wrap when the sun goes down.
...and yes, I am trying it with my running vestI was experimenting with ways of tying. I dislike scarves that I can only wear one or two ways.
I also bought a customised Levis denim skirt and Disney (mini mouse) T-shirt at a new pop-up charity shop. All the money goes to penguins. Any excuse 🐧It wasn't such a spontaneous buy, I was looking for a logo-tee that wasn't a rock cliché and I had been growing Levis own site looking for 100% cotton raw or aged-effect denim (NOT ripped!). It's so hard to get 100% cotton denim anywhere but (ridiculously priced) designer. I do have 'posh' denim but I also like to sit on the beach and not worry about clothes. I thought of @cowgirlsboots as, as soon as I got the skirt home I decided there'd been too much 'aging' and sewed a couple of holes where the skirt could tear further.
Yup! Working on flexing those no buy/low buy muscles again. Once I get into the habit, it's very easy to say no to purchases. Just need a few months to get into that practice again.Same. If you can look at the eye candy and then come home and love on your own bags and how they already fulfill your needs, go! If you think you will be tempted and forget your bag collection, then maybe skip! haha!Me too, and I've just been invited to a so-called exclusive VIP Saint Laurent sale![]()
Fabulous cw of RL - I have been very tempted by it.
I love the GTs - it’s not as much fabric as the 140s and easier to wear imho.
I was glad I had popped one in my purse Saturday - I got a little chilly at lunch!
