December Activities and Challenges - pick and choose as you please.

I. 2024 Year In Review Reflection
(Thanks @Vintage Leather)

Utilize these thought starters to evaluate your collection, your usage patterns and your lessons learned in 2024.
• What is your most useful purse?
• What is your best purchase of the year?
• We’ve all had a lot of lifestyle changes this year - how has it affected your style?
• What is the one thing we’ve learned this year that you want to take into the next?

II. Setting 2025 Goals
Take this month to consider what you want to do with your handbag collection, wardrobe or even your beautiful life in 2025. Share these thoughts in January when we start the 2026 Shopping Your Closet thread.

III. End of year optional challenges

• Holiday colors: December has many holidays celebrated across the world - red & green, brown & gold, blue & white and more! Pick the holiday that you want to honor and wear / show off your bags in those traditional colors.

• End with a bang: As we come to the last part of the year, wear the last bag you’ve purchased at least 3 times this month.

@Vlad please pin this to the top of our thread.

Reactions: More bags
I have never understood how people lose bags in their collection…

…yet today I stand here unable to find my Fendi By The Way. :whut: I’ve looked everywhere. It doesn’t have legs. Where could it have gone???

Maybe it didn’t appreciate my neglect and decided to break out for a new life.
I have looked everywhere - no Fendi BTW. So, I searched tPF to see if I reported having sold it. Seems like I was intending to but I don’t see anything in my notes on my phone to say I did.

For my sanity, I’m just going to assume I did. I am thrilled with how well I’ve recovered from having my brain tumor removed. But, every now and again there will be a teeny spot of completely lost memory. Like I will be able to recall every detail of a vacation I took 15 years ago except for any aspect of the departing flight. :confused1: While my neurosurgeon says this is perfectly “normal”, it’s very frustrating. I’m thinking the Fendi fell into one of those random black holes.
This bag is indeed stunning and unique ! I wish I was brave enough to get such an interesting bag. I always tend to buy the classic pieces and then feel meh about them. I am horribly conservative with my choices although I totally prefer the unique pieces.
Thank you! I have to thank Mr. Sparkle for pushing me in this direction. Every “interesting” bag and “interesting” piece of jewelry I own is something he bought (sometimes over my protests) and I always find they make my outfits the most stylish.

So, I’m just embracing it here on out. For example, I literally haven’t worn a Chanel jumbo in almost 2 years. The classics just don’t spark as much joy. :shrugs: My bags don’t have to be over the top but I do enjoy unique color, structure, materials, etc.

Your Fendi case is indeed mysterious :whut:, but it happened to me too that I sold/gave away an item and later was looking for it everywhere. But luckily it was no expensive handbag so far ;).
That is amazing and great luck for you too that Mr. Sparkle has such an extraordinary taste in bags and jewelry  .

Didn't you use to put things you were considering getting rid of in different rooms closet. Could it be in there?

This bag taught me I prefer interesting and unique bags over “classics” and “standards”. I need to remember that as I accept my new reality like I rarely wear my Chanel jumbos anymore. Sigh.

I’d love to own a white bag but it seems that’s a very UNpopular color for designers so there is little to nothing ever on offer. I wonder why?

I’d also like to have a pale taupe or beige bag for my wardrobe one day.

I'd love to own a white bag too! I'm just too scared to atm, lol. The closest I have to a white bag is my Celine triomphe canvas shoulder bag in the off-white version with the monogram logo. Never had any issues with it and love wearing it in the summer.

But an all white bag? Always makes me think twice haha. :PMostly because I'm not a careful person but also because I'm somewhat concerned about white yellowing over time.

I love the Dior embroidered bags! I remember when that bag came out and felt that the design was so cute and whimsical!
They are beautiful pieces of art. I always tell myself I will get one, one day.

What a beautiful evolution of your greys!
Thank you Sparkle! It’s great to see you here, and to enjoy pics of your gorgeous collection! Is it possible your daughter borrowed your Fendi WOC?

Wow, your bags are all beautiful. What a great collection of grey bags and your new Chanel dye mini is gorgeous, those colors
 !!
Thank you Sibelle! It’s been nearly two years since I bought my last bag, and I’m delighted to have picked up something colourful and fun, chosen by my sons and husband. :flowers:

Love your grays ! The new bags are beautiful . Congrats!
Thank you so much dc! :hugs:

Ahoy mateys - I'm dreadfully behind!
March Stats

Purses in or out - zero
Scarves in or out - zero out, 1 in - a lovely CSGM for a true Bargoon!

Wore 9 different bags - most worn was the LV LockMe Bucket with 9 wears, followed by the Just Campagne Confort - still love that bag.

Read 2 books - Prophet Song (depressingly scary in that I feel it might be the road the world is traveling) and Book Lovers (cute, fun and easy to read esp after PS). Started People We Meet on Vacation.

Donated a few things, and gave my granddaughter 3 pairs of jeans, a blouse and a cute dress... everything I gave her looks so good on her!

I've been under the weather with a terrible cough (again) and it's wearing me out!
