December Activities and Challenges - pick and choose as you please.

I. 2024 Year In Review Reflection
(Thanks @Vintage Leather)

Utilize these thought starters to evaluate your collection, your usage patterns and your lessons learned in 2024.
• What is your most useful purse?
• What is your best purchase of the year?
• We’ve all had a lot of lifestyle changes this year - how has it affected your style?
• What is the one thing we’ve learned this year that you want to take into the next?

II. Setting 2025 Goals
Take this month to consider what you want to do with your handbag collection, wardrobe or even your beautiful life in 2025. Share these thoughts in January when we start the 2026 Shopping Your Closet thread.

III. End of year optional challenges

• Holiday colors: December has many holidays celebrated across the world - red & green, brown & gold, blue & white and more! Pick the holiday that you want to honor and wear / show off your bags in those traditional colors.

• End with a bang: As we come to the last part of the year, wear the last bag you’ve purchased at least 3 times this month.

@Vlad please pin this to the top of our thread.

i'm finding that as i get older, my wishlist gets smaller, because i am constantly curating it and removing things.
there are so many bags that i find myself thinking about, that are so completely impractical to my life. so off they go.
anytime i find a new bag i love, i search for it pre-loved to see if it holds its shape / what it looks like once its used.
there are many bags that have firmly left my wishlist because of how they look once they've lived a bit!

i would like to start contributing to this thread! :)

Yesterday was Terrible

I had to say goodbye to Tammy, who has been bravely fighting kidney disease for over a year, aged only 5 1/2.
Her kidneys failed completely and her organs were shutting down..

She wasn’t in pain..my Sister took me and she was peacefully put to sleep😭😭😭😭

I sold my Mario Valentino tote as a stress reaction because it was too large for not very much..

RIP sweet girl

i'm so sorry for your loss. my own sweet soul-kitty marley passed at 7 for the same. kidney disease. absolutely terrible. ❤️

This is a great thread, talking about bags, and very supportive as well..

My own wishlist has also got shorter, but the bags on it are all very similar..as my taste isn’t very varied..
I would like a new bag this year though.

What bags are on your wishlist?x

Welcome to the thread. I have also been looking at bags that have been used to see how they hold up.

Mostly older balenciaga bags. wonderful leather, great colors, no logos.

Dropped off two bags of stuff at the consignment shop. Though I did buy a brand new pair of soft white Doc Martins while there. They have a bit of a platform sole, which I think is going out of style, but they were very comfortable. They will work great with some pants I have. They also had a flat pale yellow pair also brand new in my size, but they were not comfortable at all, so I passed on those. I dropped off some shoes at the consignment shop that were not comfortable too. Hopefully it all goes so I don't have to put any of that stuff back in my closet. Trying harder to only buy things I will wear. I thought if the white boots get dirty I could either make them white again or do a painting of something on them.

Ok I'm going to try to copy this from the wrong thread....
Hi all sorry I was away for so long, I hope everyone is well.
I got rid of a bunch of shoes that were very old and worn out ( and scarcely used any longer.) now I need to find a few good comfortable basics to fill in some gaps.
I have a few loafers that really need replacing but I have trouble finding stylish but super comfortable ones like I have now. The ones I have are from Sperry and are very cushy inside, but look worse for wear.
Any recommendations for comfy loafers are appreciated!
I am also looking for a cute lightweight summery bag and have these two that I'm debating over.
One is a mini pale pink Ricky that is just too cute and I've wanted pink for a long time; but the hardware is a bit busy on such a small bag and I have cream bags so how different is it really?
The other is a silver lizard petite peekaboo that I am in love with. It's stunning but I do not baby my bags. I have bags to take to Costco, to wear to Walmart , and they go in the wagon, on the floor of my car etc.
I don't know how delicate lizard is, and realistically can I do that with lizard?
( I have by Bvlgari silvery gold karung bag as my dressy bag that rarely gets used, I don't want another that will be rarely used.)
Any thoughts of why one vs the other ?
sorry this got so long

Here are pics of the two I'm debating over.
ETA I love exotics but realistically I don't think a croc or gator is in my budget, but I'm hoping the lizard will scratch that desire.
However my full size Ricky is my most favorite treasured bag ( although because of its weight, it's not often used).
