Me too. But I can’t wear my Scooby Doo or Hello Kitty slippers out in public. That's the kind of thing I'm drawn to. My favorite shoes are my slippers.
OK, now reading your post and thinking a bit I’d have to say my favorite shoe brands are Jimmy Choo and Nine West.Premier, I think it has to be Jimmy Choo or Manolo Blahnik. Like you, I LOVE the look of Louboutins, but I just find them unbearably uncomfortable. And their lower heels are just not flattering on me for whatever reason. So it's not a brand for me.
Manolo and Jimmy Choo though? They're gorgeous and comfortable and I have a range of styles from both. I have this one pair of Jimmy Choo heels that's just like walking on clouds, and I wish my whole shoe collection fit like that.
I'm not sure I have much in the contemporary section, but for sub-contemporary, I still like Nine West. I think their latest designs borrow from bigger designers more than I care to support, and the quality on a couple recent purchases hasn't been great, but I have a lot of older shoes from them that have held up well and feel great to wear. I'm actually wearing a pair now. It's kind of a fun take on leopard:

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but I wear more shoes in heavier, more wintry materials (suede, tweed, felt) and with chunkier heels--I think tall, thin heels can look too spindly paired with a drapey sweater or blazer. I also wear a lot of closed-toe kitten heels. Here are a few I have:

Good suggestion!!! I need to see if there are premier designer outlets near me.A great alternative is to buy shoes from the outlet for those who don't believe in designer shoe prices! I only have 3 shoes that aren't from Macy's lol: Burberry sandals, Coach ankle boots, and Saint Laurent Mary Janes. The Burberry I bought secondhand for $140 like new (I probably overpaid, but they're from the runway collection and so cute!), and the Saint Laurent for $180 from the YSL outlet. Both totally worth it and way less than the usual $400-$1000+ designer shoe price tag.
I hate pointy toes! Not only are they uncomfortable, but they make your foot look bigger because they have to make the shoe longer to accommodate the point.Am I the only one who hates pointy toed shoes? Raise your hand if you think they’re demonic!
I have an average American foot. Size 8.5 M. No bunions or other issues with shape (even my wound site from toe surgery is back to normal size after looking like a cartoon motorcycle side car for a few months). No especially slim heels or ankles. No fallen arches.
Yet most pointy toed heels KILL my feet!!!!!
It sounds goofy to some but, one reason I wanted us to move to a warm weather city was to be able to wear open toed shoes (and no coats, and no hats, and no long underwear and no tights and no scarves) most of the time. Boots are the only closed in pointy heels that I find to be reliably comfy. I think it’s because my leg is held in place so my toes don’t slide forward into a closed in prison. In any case, closed in, pointy toed heels are no go 90% of the time.
Almond toe is so much more reasonable. Round toe is a beautiful thing. Open toe? Hallelujah!
But pointed toe, closed in heels????

So, I wanna know... I have zero problems wearing non pointy high heels. I walk, run and dance in them while some other people say “Heck no!” and can’t believe I can actually be comfy. (I am)
Well, I’m like that with pointed toe closed in heels. Do I just own feet that say HECK NO while some other angelically blesses souls find them perfectly comfy? I can’t see how. Blind spot + American feet? Or are they suffering for beauty?
Ooooh, YES!And I just said not serviceable / wintry but then I googled and saw these. Don’t they just make you want to snuggle your feet into them? View attachment 4283870
That sounds like a terrific alternative. The Saint Laurent mary janes must be adorable. I wish there was a YSL outlet near me... I'd be stalking those.A great alternative is to buy shoes from the outlet for those who don't believe in designer shoe prices! I was surprised that a pointy pair of shoes I got online was comfortable enough! I risked it because it was cheap and on sale. It's Dune, a contemporary British brand I believe. I thought to myself - a pointy pair does not always bring misery after all! The con is that I sometimes miscalculate the length of the front so I sometimes bump that into the edge of stair steps. Maybe it's finding the right one after all?Am I the only one who hates pointy toed shoes? Raise your hand if you think they’re demonic!

I had those but didn't find them comfortable. They are really short height-wise in the toes, so I felt like my toes were being squished down. For slippers, I'm happier in Minnetonka. I used to buy the sheepskin mocs but they wore out quickly. Now I get these: https://www.minnetonkamoccasin.com/women/styles/slippers/sheepskin-ankle-boot-women-1Ooooh, YES!I don't live in a very cold-weather place... it only gets down to the 40s at night here, but the wind does blow off the ocean. But in the winter time I get really, really, REALLY cold. Especially my hands and feet. When I'm in the house, I wear knee socks and then shearling-lined Ugg slippers on top. Hey... it's a look!
These are the slippers... the style name is "Ansley" and they fit like a loafer, including a lightweight sole so they offer a bit of support.

My dad used to call them Roach Killers because he said you could get to a roach in the corner of. the house.I hate pointy toes! Not only are they uncomfortable, but they make your foot look bigger because they have to make the shoe longer to accommodate the point.
All of them aren’t horrible. And I just bought 2 pair that are comfy. But, again those are booties and boots. It’s the VERY rare high heeled pointy toes pump that I can stand to be in. So I was wondering. Is it just my feet? Or are women just willing to be miserable. Because they sell like hot cakes!I was surprised that a pointy pair of shoes I got online was comfortable enough!
