My boredom level from being housebound with this foot has reached new heights.

So, of course I’m looking at handbag stuff. LOL! Bear with me as I do another Sparkle Bag Analysis posts.
I was curious to see what I paid for my bags so, I ranked them by price...
...and was floored.
First, I have price amnesia. I don’t recall paying what I did for some bags. This list gives me perspective going forward.
Second, price doesn’t correlate to favorites
or most worn. My top 5 favorites are #1, 3, 4,10 and 18 in money spent. My top 5 most worn are #2, 8, 10, 11, 20.
(FYI #10 which is a favorite and most worn is my pink Miss Dior)
Third, I’ve fallen more into “what the market requires” I pay than “how much do I crave the bag”. For example, I paid way more for my ivory Chanel than any of my Miss Diors. But, I wear the MD’s to death and love them to distraction while I’ve barely worn the ivory C. So, why so much for it? I should have forced myself to wait and found an ivory / cream bag I loved as much as my MD’s.
This makes me want to sell it and find my perfect ivory bag. But, not now! LOL!
In contrast, I paid the least for my Jimmy Choo hobo and it’s one of my most used bags. I don’t adore it but it’s absolutely perfect for its spot in my collection. Honestly, it would have been worth paying full price.
So, this exercise tells me this:
1) Focus funds on what I crave
and will use. This isn’t rocket science. LOL! I should be willing to spend the moon on bags that are perfect for me because I see from experience it will be a good spend and, more importantly, I’ll be happy.
2) I shouldn’t be afraid to spend “good” money on the perfect carefree / service bags. Carefree bags that I don’t like won’t get worn - period. Ones I do will be priceless - like the Jimmy Choo. I need to stop starving this category and plunge into what I want.
Thinking about this for the nylon bag.
3)
(I hate to say it) Keep my collection small-ish and only add what is mind blowing / giggle happy generating. I had “limited” myself to 30 premier & 10 non premier bags. But, my new inventory of 20 bags isn’t a problem because 16 of the 20 I purged were
never getting worn.

They were dead weight and needed to go.
How was I blind to that???
Even more telling, of my remaining 20 bags, half are getting 70% of the wear.

I like what I like and need to stick to that. If I’m not urgently craving the bag, I need to walk away.
This was really helpful. Makes me think:
• Do I love the black lamb Chanel enough to pay so much for it relative to my other bags?? Maybe?
• If my unicorn (black ghw Miss Dior) comes available, I should just get the darn thing at any reasonable price.
• Spend what I need to on the nylon bag.
• I’ll never own Hermes. LOL! I don’t crave the bags. So spending even more than I do now per bag on them isn’t a good spend.
