2018 resolution - shopping my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others

I will try it - I didn't think about that…
I feel like now people will be 'omg - this one person said it was a fake so it must be.' Even though I have everything, (except I'm not going to show a receipt) and I've said that it can be authenticated easily.

Exactly. Is she selling something as well? Could be trying to eliminate competition lol.

I’ve seen some IG resellers post some catty comments on posh, so it happens so others too. Crazy.

She is selling other things - nothing Hermes though.
She says she has a Morse* et Gourmettes scarf that she bought at an auction and hers is different. Okay…
I am selling a Mors et Gourmettes Remix - so it's a different scarf all together. So I'm hoping she'll come back and say 'Oh I had the wrong scarf.'
Bwahahaha - I crack myself up sometimes - some one admit they were wrong? Not gonna happen.
(plus - jeeze o'Pete - if she can't spell the scarf name right why should she be trusted?)

She’s trying to validate her scarf perhaps, and since yours is different, she wants you to prove authenticity so she can say hers is authentic too? Wild theory. Lol.

Someone has a lot of time to bother you, unfortunately.

Ugh - mini rant here - I hate reselling.
I have a few scarves listed on Posh and someone is insisting that one of the scarves is fake. I keep insisting that they do a little research, and even suggesting that they come to tPF to have it authenticated… but noooooooo.
It's very frustrating and I'm trying to be nice but I don't wanna be nice anymore! :annoyed:

(thanks for listening! :flowers:)

Gosh, I’m so sorry. I absolutely despise selling, too.

Why in the world does this person feel they are the Hermes guru who gets to evaluate others’ listings? They need some
personal business to keep them occupied.

Can you delete the listing and repost?

This is such a GREAT bag. I love the look - especially the clasp!!!

The size is wonderful too. Sometimes we need a bag that will carry our stuff without having to compromise. This is a great bag for your collection, MSD. I need something like this too.

Thanks! Recovery is #1. The pain meds made me very sick over the weekend so now, I can’t take ones strong enough to fully stop the pain. That means it’s the bed, elevation and ice for a while.

And, I gave Mr. S the Chanel SA’s card last night so he can get the wallet. He’s traveling on business this week. I’m gonna miss my nurse. :frown:
I may have to break my rule and do a mod shot with this bag when I’m back on my feet. She’s super cute!
My favorite part of this bag is the clasp too! Called Baroque hardware.

Will wait for that modshot!
How many of the MJ quilted bags do you have? I have two: a single and a little stam. Love them both (they are completely different styles) but not looking to get any more. I sold two XL baroque singles last year because the size/color didn't work, and I'm just as glad I don't have them.

I still have one MJ bag that I need to sell... a Peggy Wellington that is gorgeous as a little evening bag, but I have others that meet the need, and I find I just don't reach for it. It comes with two (removable) straps, the gold one, shown here, and a longer black leather one. My "problem" is, I have too many little black evening bags! :annoyed:

I have 2 MJ quilted - both XL Single: 1 cherry blossom pink in goatskin and this black which I think is lambskin? I remember yours - a beautiful blue Single. The Peggy Wellington is pretty too and I'm imagining it has beautiful leather as it came from the wonder years of MJ!

Sorry to hear about your selling woes!
I’m seeing @dcooney4 ‘s and @HopelessBagGirl ‘s MZ Wallace bags and thinking I need a truly carefree, non leather cross body bag.

I’ve been looking at Prada nylon bags but the cost is cuckoo. I’m not a big fan of Longchamps. Any other suggestions? Something still really cute so I’ll actually want to wear it. LOL! But also durable.
What about Marc Jacobs nylon? Some styles look really pretty. I almost got a blue one from the outlets in Japan. Not sure about durabilitiy though as I only had 1 short experience with MbMJ nylons.

Your cherry blossom pink one is just dreamy.
Yes, my single is blue, with silver hardware. I bought it directly from MJ the minute I heard they were discontinuing the quilting! Eek! :panic:
The Peggy Wellington does indeed have beautiful leather. It's goat, and is quite hard with a bit of a shine to it. I wondered at the time if it would scratch, but I bought it in 2013 and it's still pristine. Of course, I keep it stuffed, and tucked away in its dust bag, but then again I do that with all of my bags. I think many of us do the same!

I think your Peggy Wellington has the same leather as my mini 1984 (rehomed since it's too mini for me). Totally loved that leather!

Speaking of great MJ leather bags, I have 2 more which I really have not used in a while - 1984 in Terra Cotta and 54 in Flame Red. I'm not sure that I can bear to part with the 1984, it's just that this flap satchel bags are not my style. But the leather on this bag, again I gues same as your Peggy, is just wonderful! Then the 54. I think it is the really fiery red versus bright gold-tone hardware in a size of about 14"x10"x4(?) that is just too striking for me.

Great suggestion! I didn’t know MJ did nylon!
I’m rotating better these days. Today with my Massaccesi black Angelica.
