I. Adore. This. Little. Bag!

I love that she’s completely different from anything I own. She’s a great addition to my collection!

Mr. S wanted to brighten my spirits after the surgeries which were really weighing on me the past couple of days. I was beginning to hold a massive pity party which just isn’t me. :frown:

He said he bought this specific bag to help break me out of my “it must be perfectly practical but also emotionally soul stirring” craziness. He reminded me I don’t need to apply math and logic to every decision.

And... I’m just giddy!!!! It’s sooo cute, fun and feminine without being completely twee. It also practical as it has a removable shoulder strap and is teeny but holds a ton!!!

Once I’m ambulatory, Mr. S. is going to take me shopping to get some rose gold jewelry to coordinate. And, as soon as I have normal post op feet, he’s getting me shoes. So yippee!! :happydance:

Thanks for letting me share and being excited with me! Ban Island is officially and happily left in the distance!
This is both pretty and fun looking and especially sweet your DH surprised you with it! I hope you feel better soon!

Well, I totally underestimated the foot surgery. The knee & eye surgeries were very easy recoveries. This foot surgery, however, is a completely different deal. My foot is killing me  and I’m not supposed to do anything for a week except lie around and keep it iced and elevated.

I used some of that do nothing time today to inspect, clean, condition my bags. In so doing, I decide to definitely keep my Fendi BTW. But, I also pulled three more for sale that I love but don’t use and don’t see myself using them going forward.

I’m feeling brave because though I hate selling bags, the changes I’ve made in the last six months-ish have been good ones - swapping out my red Chanels, deciding to repair and keep the Black YSL, etc.

Here are all the bags I’ve pulled from my collection this year.

Sold / Donated
• Chanel Beige & Black Lamb Tote
• Chanel Red Caviar Jumbo Single Flap
• Vieta Silver Jeweled Evening Bag
• No Name Silver Studded Crossbody
• No Name Brown Tote

Definitely Going
• Celine Python Edge
• Chanel Blk Patent Jumbo Single Flap
Gucci Teal Nubuck Soho Shoulder Bag
• Michael Kors Mini Hamilton
• Michael Kors Gold Hobo
• Monika Chiang Pony Bucket
• Roberto Cavalli Tote
• Urban Expressions Blk Faux Croc Clutch
• Aldo Jeweled Clutch
• No Name Silver Woven Clutch

May Sell
• Jimmy Choo Metallic Suede Biker Bag
Prada Black Saffiano Top Hndl Satchel
• Proenza Schouler Silver Small Courier
• Proenza Schouler Black Small Courier
• Gucci Cherry Gloss Top Hdl Stirrup

Assuming I part ways with the may sell bags (which I’m 90% sure I will part with at least 3), this brings me down to “only” 20 bags in my collection. :faint: My self imposed maximum is 30 but, I’m most comfortable around 25ish.

I don’t have any big gaps or must haves that I’m hunting. (I’m not thinking about the black tote right now.) So, I’ll buy as I see things I love.

I also swapped out wallets. I’ve worn my Gucci for three years and it needs to move on. I was giggly happy as I put my things in the black Dior wallet I’ve had waiting in the wings for two years. I also decided to keep my gold Dior card holder. With my pink card holder that means I have a total of 3 SLG’s. I’m going back to Chanel this week and get the flat card wallet like @vink has in black. I passed out from the price. LOL! So I needed a moment. But, I’ll get a lot of use from it and I love it so it is what it is.

Her first maiden voyage with me today! [emoji4] Very interesting how the weight seems to just melt off once she is put on the shoulder. [emoji848]

Down time for your recovery seems to be fruitful!! Hope you can pare your collection to your optimal mix. (And I wish the same for me too. Lol!)

Best wishes with your foot recovery and overall recovery! Congratulations on your big transformation year. You’ve done an amazing job of curating your bag wardrobe! I find I can be more critical analyzing what I have, shortly after a purchase, which is fantastic. Great analysis, well done!

It doesn’t hurt to get a quote from Fashionphile and Yoogies. Then you can have an idea of where to send it to.
I was just looking at there sites and their prices are super low at the moment on wallets. Granted a lot of them are not in the same great shape as mine. I am either going to wait till fall or give it to my consignment shop. I don't want to take all the pictures etc at the moment.

"... every hungover slob could have wads of cash..."
This made me laugh hysterically!
DH is a former New Englander. West of Boston. And I went to college in Boston. Great place. Don't miss the winters, though! :graucho:
Then you know that New England is still pretty stratified by age, job, country club, education, money, size of yacht, etc. There are a lot of status symbols and codes to read. Shoppers in the Greenwich boutique don't look like those in the Vegas stores, LOL.

I think it depends on where you are. I’m sure Greenwich is pretty homogeneous, but Boston is much more diverse than it was 15-20 years ago. The wealthier suburbs are still pretty whitebread, but the city itself has changed a lot. That and the tourist population means a lot of the stores can’t assume the wealth or social status of the customers who walk in the door.
