Yes I saw. I totally love it. Please say where it's from (unless you don't want to of course)
She actually wrote that it's McLaughlin. Easy to google, price is no big deal, 15% off for being a new customer, so I could not resist! I mean, compare those Hermes wicker things!!!

EDIT: Let me know if I can help with any international issues. I'm in the states and we have a mutual friend who goes back and forth a lot....

Congratulations on your progress!

This sounds beautiful and swift leather, yummy! I look forward to seeing your styling pics when you get the chance! Congratulations on your beautiful addition. Or did you not pick this up? Apologies if I misunderstood.

Great looking basket! Which scarf did you add this month?
This month I got a pre-loved 140 Astrologie nouvelle silk in pastels. I only have 2 other in this format. I wore it twice before it got TOO HOT!

What an adorable bag, momasaurus! So perfect for summertime.
I saw it when she posted the picture in the SOTD thread, but I had no idea what it was... or that it was still available for purchase. What brand is it, if I may ask? Is it Hermès?
When I saw that she wrote McLaughlin, I googled it immediately. It's practically a giveaway compared to the H wicker things!!

Ladies, this thread moves too quickly for me  I lurk! I saw @Sparkletastic 's tote question and thought I'd throw in a few suggestions.

First the collage.
Prada Vernice Promenade? Here's mine in turquoise.
Prada Galleria medium? Here's mine in Bluette.
Burberry Banner medium? Here's mine in Thistle Grey.
Sac de Jour small? Here's mine in Lipstick Fuchsia.
Givenchy Antigona Small or Medium? Here's my small in Black.
YSL Cabas Monogram? Here's mine in Dove White.

I actually made this collage for another thread where someone was asking for work bag recommendations. I think all of these would fit your requirement of being a large-ish size but not all of them would work for a laptop (since you said you don't need to carry that on days you're carrying this bag).

Alternatively if you want something really casual, I use this Aspinal of London bag (second picture) as a document tote bag. It gets abused on a daily basis as I carry it casually as a secondary bag that sits on the floor etc as I commute (I wouldn't dream of putting my "hand"bags on the floor!)

The Aspinal was an impulse purchase by Mr Dawn. I had a no name leather tote I was carrying for rough use and he saw this and bought it along with a bunch of pouches/SLGs to organise my "rough" things. How many matching pouches does the man think I need?:giggle:
Omg ! I love them all. I really like the tote your dh got you too!

Hi everyone ... I haven’t shown up since the end of the first quarter, trying my best to use my herd and resist temptation. I hope you all are well and enjoying these months. I do lurk in the discussions.

Here’s my Jan-June update:

Bags out ... 7
Bags in ..... 3

I’m gradually parting with bags I don’t like quite enough, or that don’t really work for their supposed use.

My three bags ‘in’ haven’t caused much damage. I replaced the Coach Court Bag that I gave to my daughter with one in dark green, from eBay. I couldn’t live without a Court. Then, inspired by my Longchamp Neo in Black, which was so successful as my go-to storm bag during our weekly Nor’easters in March, I decided to get a small Neo in a lighter color, I would call it champagne though Longchamp calls it gold, for the warm weather. So far I’m ‘meh’ about this bag and I’m not sure it will stay with me though it does no harm. Couldn’t get the pic to insert right here.

Finally, I brought in a BV pillow or nodini bag in BV’s striated dark metallic silver (I forget the exact name) bought on eBay from a tPF member. This bag was a planned purchase to wear with my black coats in the winter; it was only a question of whether I’d have to go retail or if I could find a reseller I trusted. Voila...I got very lucky.
I haven’t photographed this one but it’s well known.

For the second half of the year, I’d like to find a BV, the classic Veneta Hobo, in one of the colors I’ve been searching for.

Then DH, my mom and I have a running QELizabeth II thread among us. My mom is exactly her age and LOVES her ...feels like they have shared the same lives because they’ve lived through the same world changes and so few of that particular generation remain, but SHE remains. So DH wants to give me, for our 33rd anniversary (today!!) a Launer Bag. He thinks it would be an amazing way to involve my mom ... he participates ... I will have a favorite gift and the whole thing can be thumbs up and a hoot. I agree with all that. It would certainly be a lifetime keeper and/but I just have to “see” it as a tad less staid, just a little, which perhaps I can do through the myriad of color combos they offer. I do like it’s strong and simple shape and it’s pretty hardware, and they make the classic Q Elizabeth bag with a shoulder strap. I’m taking a deep breath right now on this one.

Thanks for indulging my lengthy update. Hope to get back here often now that I’ve proven(to myself) that I can be good for 1/2 a year:smile:. Cheers!

Please share you Launer, I only have an old wallet but now they make a whole range of exciting things in different colours.

June Tally

On repeat. so again

Bags
0 in
0 out

I narrowed down some bag possibilities to 3 (from 4). This includes the Python Rebelle that has just come in at Gucci. I'd like another smart-casual take anywhere shoulder bag.

SLG
0 iin
0 out
BUT I do have an Asprey jewellery case put away

Lets not talk jewellery or scarves I bought 2 pair of earrings and a twilly. I may have to change the (Gucci) twilly because it's not quite long enough.
Great stats. You have nerves of steel and do a good job of avoiding impulse buying.
FB Group but brand related. I have gotten rid of quite a few.
That gives me hope. I’ve posted on the x addicted pages and other pages and nothing...except the one sale over a year ago where I was scammed. Since it’s the only time I’ve been scammed I was wondering if FB was worth it.
My June Stats and Update
1) 16 bags worn in June
2) June and YTD stats
Bags - June: 0 in, 0 out; YTD: 1 in, 8 out
SLGs - June: 1 in, 0 out; YTD: 2 in, 0 out; a fabric pouch I am currently using while traveling
3) Scarves - June: 1 scarf (shawl) in :yahoo:, 0 out; YTD: 2 in, 3 out
Great job!!!
Same cake, different frosting — I love that! And understand it, too — when you first said you were different in every way, I thought you also meant values. Now I see what you mean. She sounds like a great friend!
She is a wonderful friend. But, yes, similar values are critical. Otherwise, I think it would be hard to develop understanding and intimacy in a friendship. Not impossible, but hard.

I got a great suggestion from another friend on what to give. I’m sharing in case anyone else wants to copy. Since she is becoming the big 5-0h I’m going to give her 5 presents beginning with O. The first four will be fun silliness. The 5th will be the trip - I guess I’ll have to call it an Outing. I can’t execute on this today so I’ll have to ship it back to her.

Bwa ha ha! Now, she’ll have to think of a cool way to do my present when I turn 50. :graucho: Ha!!! We are such goof balls. :roflmfao:
I’m on repeat as well.

0 in, out for both bags and SLGs. I did by a fabulous silk scarf/shawl at Ouimillie this week. And a relatively inexpensive pair of silver hoop earrings. My project-in-waiting is to go through my H scarves and shawls, weed out the ones I no longer wear, and send pics to consignment to see what they may bring.
Good job staying the course.

But, doesn’t selling things make you far less likely to buy? I know half of my reticence to purchase these past months has been fear of flipping. :whut:
It's larger than the 8, but smaller than the 8 plus. Hmmmmmm.....
I wish they would leave the phone dimensions alone. The skip pockets in my bags can’t keep up. LOL!

Thanks for sharing!!!! We like a lot of the same bags. (I love your posts in the what bag are your carrying today.) I have a YSL monogram Cabas and two Prada double zips (very similar to your galleria). I considered the SDJ for a looooong while. Still considering the Givenchy Antigona. That is such a beautifully shaped bag.

I think I have a picture in my head of what I want which is causing the struggle because designers aren’t in my head. LOL! It needs to be black with shw, shoulder carry, timeless, relatively lightweight, functional and “pretty”.

Meanwhile, I’m going to take @vink ‘s advice and not think about it. Hopefully getting a sleek backpack for travel will take the pressure off. That will be fun to look for and easy to find. And, since it’s luggage it won’t count towards my handbag collection. LOL!

I miscommunicated. I loved the bag but I don't think I loved it enough for the maintenance. At east that's what I'm thinking now, I should go back ad see all the bags before making my mind up.
Gotcha, it sounds like a beautiful bag and I can understand the maintenance concerns. It sounds like you’re being thoughtful and thorough in evaluating potential adds. Keep it up!

Welcome back WV! Congratulations on your 7 exits. I like your adds, great choices! Happy anniversary, that’s fabulous. I would love to see your Launer when you choose it!

Omigosh, omigosh, omigosh! I just got an email from Leather Surgeons that my bags are done! :woot:

This is like Christmas because I haven’t really been able to wear either bag!! :happydance:

The YSL’s handles were “permanently” repaired so I can now wear the bag without being terrified of it. LOL! I hadn’t worn this bag in over a year. I’m so glad it didn’t sell!

And, recall I got a red lamb Chanel flap to replace my red caviar? It had a few light scuffs but, I hadn’t sent it away for a spa treatment til I absolutely knew I wasn’t keeping the caviar. So, I’ve never worn it. (Not wearing either red flap has been killing my red bag game!) LS was able to take care of the scuffs without dying the whole bag which would have been a total no go. Dying lamb changes the texture which is 90% of the reason I switched materials.

This is like getting two new bags!!! I’m hoping they’ll be in shortly after I get home on Tuesday. Ohmigosh! :panic:

(I really need to be this excited about all bags coming into my collection. LOL! I’m going to continue to hold myself to that standard for future purchases.)
