Use PS small courier for crossbody.Sparkle’s Black Bag-A-Rama
You know how you have something quietly buzzing in the back of your brain and then suddenly it’s all you can think about? That’s how I am about my black bags right now.
I wear black bags a lot. But, I consistently struggle to get the perfect ones. Many of what I have are the oldest bags in my collection. So they weren’t spot on purchases - I was still learning what I like. As a result, I can’t say I’m in love with any of mine except my little LV and maybe the YSL (tbd).
What I Need:
This seems like a lot of black bags but it’s really what I found I need after experimentation and analysis.

Nothing. This was the patent Chanel. I
have no idea what the right replacement
is. What I want is a single classic flap in a
different material but I don’t care for
caviar and I don’t want lamb. Calf? Don’t
think they made one. So, I dunno.

Nothing - I’ve survived without this for a
year but, when I need it, I’ll be
frustrated not to have it. I obviously won’t
wear this often, I don’t want to spend a
lot on it. So preloved something (?) Also,
I’d prefer it be under the radar or I’d get
something like an LV EPI Alma.
• Pretty Travel Tote
Nothing - It has to be practical enough for
travel but, super cute enough for me to
wear once I get to my destination.
• Pretty Travel Backpack
Nothing - Being one of the walking
wounded today, [emoji38] I wore a backpack as
my carryon. That convinced me that for
travel I really need its convenience more
than I want the look of a tote. I have a
cheap Swiss something, which needs to
be replaced with one pretty, practical
backpack for both leisure and work travel
I won’t wear the backpack as a purse so
it doesn’t need to be purse-y or
“collection worthy”. But I have to love it!

Here are my outlier bags which don’t fit a need.

The Prada rarely gets worn but, I doubt I’ll sell. I want to be vigilant in not keeping bags I don’t use but, I do feel a very few bags can live in my collection with occasional use. I don’t have to banish everything.
I mentioned that I’m considering selling the PS. It was a bench strength bag but, I think it needs to be rehomed so I can get something I adore.
Help! Any suggestion on the red items? Any thoughts overall?
Check out LD for statement day to night in black. They definitely have it in lamb. They used to release it in cavier so you may have to source through pre-loved. They have calf version, I think. You said you like LD so maybe this will fit the bill?
And if you don't care about it not being premiere, check out MM. I like the full size Selene. Or if you want to go high end only, check out Hermes Victoria 2. Loewe flamingo tote is also nice. The leather alone worth every cent.
And think about that LV you love in red. You have multiple miss Dior. What's wrong with lv that make you can't have multiple, too, if it works well?

It would be nice to not have to buy a bag or sell this one. It’s the one Mr. S says is homely. 
I don’t think it’s high fashion but homely seems a little harsh. LOL! The only issue I have with this bag is the chain strap is a little uncomfortable. And you know I love a chain strap. This bag weighs next to nothing so I can’t figure out why it can be uncomfortable when none of my others are an issue. So I think I envisioned a leather strap.
I keep coming back to these bags: 
). I was torn, so I asked DH what he thought, and he gave me a very TPF-like answer — that I should wear the bag a few times and see how I like it!
