I do have one out for the month. I sold my red SF Chanel to a very nice TPF’r. :amuse: I took a bit of a loss but it’s in the hands of someone who loves it so that is a very good thing.

I need to get the rest of my bags listed. Right now I just have two of them listed for sale. Gotta get the rest up tomorrow.

And, I don’t even want to think about the looking / replacing process.

Those look comfy!
Indeed they are!! Another thing that drew me to it. And also water repellent.

Oh, sale of your red caviar Chanel flap was fast!

I myself have to list some items, but I'm procrastinating.

Hahaha, yes, what rich people wear for casual, Lol! But when I was a teenager, it wasn’t just for rich people, it was a real across-the-board trend. I would call that photo of Lady Di preppy as well.

Don’t worry about your Gucci loafers. They are much too stylish and edgy to count as preppy. Anyone remember Bass Weejuns? Again, I did a search to find a photo to make my point, and had an “OMG, they still make these!” moment. :P

and these go back decades before 80s Pretty or something (and were called Weejuns because this type of indoor slip-on shoe was invented in Norway (Norwegians).

I don't mind seeing preppy, I would say half of Europe still dresses like this, which far better than what most of the other half wear.

Hi HBG, I remember these bags. I never owned one. I did admire the look of Reed Krackoff Boxer bags. I had a great conversation at a cocktail party with a Boxer owner. She let me try the bag on. I recall it was quite heavy. Hope it helps.

Yes I found the weight listed at 2.5lb. definitely out of my comfort zone. Darn it! I love the look.

I remember these bags! I never owned one — I remember liking the style but something about the function didn’t work for me. From what I recall, the quality was good. I was disappointed when RK went under.
I love the color blocking!!

Yay! You got it. When will you reveal what it is?????
.
In a couple of days. :)
I’ve always liked this bag and came within a hair’s breath of buying one. I didn’t because the company went out of business and I worrried about resale. .
Resale is like under a hundred. Which is why I thought of trying one because it looks so pretty. But 2.5lb....eek

LOL! On what most of the other half wears. Yep. Same here in the states. Preppy would be a huge improvement.

I was being a bit (not completely) dramatic about not wanting to see it. I don’t mind this on other people. It’s generally neat, pleasant and well coordinated. I just don’t wanna go back there.

There are very few actual “styles” I don’t want to see on others. I’m actually hard pressed to think of one. I like seeing different styles because I like variety. I wouldn’t want us all in a uniform - even if I got to pick it. So while I’m not a personal fan of say man buns, cowboy boots, or tattoos, I’m glad people choose to dress & express themselves differently.

I just hate seeing people sloppy, half dressed, disheveled and / or without good hygiene. Sagging pants on young men and pajamas & house shoes on young women are at the top of that list. I was on a plane recently and a gaggle of cheerleaders were there with hair piled in sloppy buns wearing various PJ’s and house shoes. It wasn’t a red eye sooooooo....? Is it too much to ask for people to wear actual clothes in public??? A t shirt, jeans and sneakers is too much work?

Didn't this come in a small size? Perhaps that might be a way to get the look without the weight.

Has anyone tried ebay’s new handbag selling service? I’m tempted to try it. Commissions are 20% v 15% if you sell on your own via eBay (10% ebay +5% PayPal)

They list your bag on the higher end of the potential valuation and give it 90 days to sell. Plus you don’t ever get a return.

I was really worried when I first heard about them doing this. I thought it would kill the independent sale market. Now I’m thinking it could be a good option. Certainly the fees are lower than for consignment which is a good thing.

I haven't tried it, honesty I'm so out of the loop
