Sorry forgot about the jewellery, not on purpose

This is a reissue necklace of a vintage Amoeba piece by Henning Koppel for Georg Jensen (his 100 Birthday this year had he lived). There is a bracelet too but a bit big on me, could get annoying. The necklace is not cheap and it is heavy but it's pretty amazing too. The pic is of me trying it on.

I bought quite a lot of Georg Jensen in silver and/or yg recently naughty naughty, I'm having a necklace made by Asprey to match some earrings, again an old design. I think I kept buying more and more from GJ because the waiting for Aspey was making me 'hungry'
This is fabulous. I looooooove GJ silver.

So pretty! It also reminds me of some of Robert Lee Morris's pieces

Glad to hear things are better with your mum's situation. I can feel how drained you are these days, and I hope your load is lightened soon!
One thing to remember when you are fretting about logos and having recognizable bags: your overall style is so distinctive, I think when people see you or meet you there is an entire fashion statement to take in: your mixed textures and colors, interesting headpiece, other accessories, your strong aura, I don't think people have time to focus on your bag in particular. (I hope this makes sense and that you take it as a compliment!).

I do, thank you :hugs:

Me too, always have, but dithered and dithered. About a year ago I noticed my had friends were fellow lovers, aficionados and devotees and and I just realised I had to get on with it and buy all the pieces (one by one) I had admired from afar for so long, a real investment in style.

Anyone else had that had 'I don't care care whether I'm worth it (or think I'm worth it) I'm going for it anyway'?

Seriously, there comes a time where I had to start to act like the person I always wanted to be or just stay wishing forever. It doesn't happen overnight, revolution is a slow process, takes huge effort, vision, planning and is totally dangerous ;) .

Looks too pink-y for Byzantin

Try Mona Lisa or Peony too @msd_bags

i know, but Orchid was in 2009 and had split numbers, colour code 5200
Mona Lisa if Violet, i have a wallet in it
Peony?... yes, highly likely

Thanks PT and K! I googled more photos based on the colors you mentioned and when I first opened the webpages on Mona Lisa (actually tpf posts and BV website!) I immediately thought mine is Mona Lisa! Although there are some photos which look more violet than mine. But I read that some BV colors are difficult to photograph right anyway.

Basically, what rich people wear for casual?

).

Ha ha. Yes. It is. [emoji16] You got me at this sentence. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Apparently, for the Americans (I believe you’re English and I’m Asian, but Sparkle and Cats are Americans so a bit of cultural background here. [emoji4]) when the rich Americans got together at Martha’s vineyard in the 80s, I believe, this is what they wear and it becomes a term because these people they went to private school or “prep school” (which I believe is different from prep school in Europe.) but anyway, this is the term the fashion magazine on the State side use to call it. [emoji16]

And no, you’re not preppy. You have enough flare to go beyond that. [emoji16] Its the overall look and feel. [emoji16]

No. I’m worth enough to have the whole world under my feet, but I decide to be humble and keep to my corner. [emoji4]

But some items do intimidate me like classic flaps. I know I have a bit in my collection, but still, they intimidate me. [emoji28]

Quick UK explanation of our school system.
Prep school for us = 8-13 year old boys only. They are only prep(aratory) for public school (private, single-sex school). We have a class system here (society hierarchy). The middle class is very large but no who is middle class ever admits to being middle class. Middle classes champion comprehensives (public schools) but send their boys to public schools (private school) and their daughters to private schools or grammar schools (entry by exam) or even former grammar schools (special comprehensives where entry is by exam and catchment areas).

Comprehensives were brought in the 1970s to replace a 2 tier education system (Grammars for academic achievers and secondary moderns for 'more practically driven') and were supposed to teach across abilities but have steaming (different abilities) and special classes so never have to. We also have 'academies' brought in the 1990s that make their own rules up, these are usually in posh-ish areas and are strictly catchment area based, so if you can't afford to live in small, select area your child will go to the local comp(rehensive) that may actually be further away.

Interesting about classic flaps. I never thought of a style as being an intimidator, Why do you feel they intimidate you? Too 'feminine'? Grown-up? Associated with a certain type of intimidating person??
