LOL, this sounds exactly like me! Black, white, blue, maybe gray. To me, variety comes from different shades of blue! :P Today, I wore my one green shirt and had a heck of a time deciding which bag went with it!

ME TOO, but swap out pinks for blue...

Funny. We are just talking about colors and, today, I did the reverse of what I’ve been doing. I’m wearing pink so I wanted a neutral bag. That got me into my ivory Chanel.

I definitely need neutrals and colors in my bag wardrobe. I can’t be happy with just one or the other.

Question for everyone: if you had to pick only ONE color for your bag(s) in your wardrobe and it couldn’t be the safe choices of black or brown, what would it be?

If I had to pick a color other than black, I’d pick silver. I could go quiet with a dark gunmetal shade of silver or blingy with a bright and shiny shade.

If I had to pick a colorful color, it would definitely be red. I’d get one dark bordeaux and a bright lipstick / cherry red.

But, while I could halfway live with just the silvers, the reds would exhaust me after a while and I’d crave the ability to carry any other color.

Oh definitely me too, pinks or silvers! The shades of pink alone are just staggering.

I haven’t seen any challenge pics. Anyone dressing up their bags or ready to show off their summer (straw, jute, etc.) bags?
I will!!! I will!!! I've actually been using two straw bags this week, will post later if I can!

Speaking of msd's love of leather smell, my new bag from indie Australian bag maker Pur Jus smells so amazingly leathery. View attachment 4076987View attachment 4076988
The leather is also so amazing to the touch and the prettiest metallic leather I've ever seen. It's called antique pearlized purple and it has such a subtle shimmer and it's such a versatile muted shade . Love it.
I love this metallic shade! I actually have a gown this color!

After selling a bunch I'm down to 2 Premier designer bags. I'm OK with this and really want to stay strong so that at the end of the year I will buy the bag that I really want and not just a bunch of bags I saw that had a big price cut.
Yahoo taho, that’s amazing- what is the bag you really want? Also, what did you choose to keep?

We talked about Memorial Day sales and I’ve started to succumb. LOL! But not for bags...just yet.

We’re traveling to see Mr. Sparkle’s family which has been fun. Along the way we went shopping and he-who-is-enabler bought me some super cute things. :yahoo:

I mentioned I’m starting a reboot on my shoe collection. @missie1 - it’s finally beginning. LOL! I got some fun, going out (comfortable!) shoes at Fendi and Alexander McQueen. I think the Fendis will be cute with jeans and a cute top. The AQ’s are great with flirty dresses. I love the pink AQ’s so much I swapped them out for what I was gonna wear last night. Even with a broken toe on my left foot and, a soon to be removed bone spur on a toe on my right foot, these were comfy enough to walk around in and wear all evening. Ha! Take that toe gods. Ya gotta love that.

The orange Fendi shoe looks super busy. I didn’t even want to try it on. But, magically it really “works” when worn. View attachment 4080100
I love girly pink and, AQ’s styling gives the shoe edge so it works for my style. Plus the leather is scrumptuos and chewy. Loooooooove!

I really need some shoe basics but I’m happy to get some purely fun shoes just because.

We also got this gorgeous gown at Fendi. I looooove the chiffon pleated panels on the skirt. They quietly swish when I move. And, I don’t like pearls but somehow I love this beading. We’re going on a couple’s weekend trip with some friends in a few months and this will be perfect for one of the nights. So, yay!

Now to bags...:graucho:

Mr. S saw this adorable and super frivolous Fendi Mon Tresor and thought I should get it. It’s a teeny bit more pink than the photo and the metal reads rose gold. I have no idea when / where / how I’d wear this bag. LOL! I don’t think my collection is at the point of adding bags that serve no foreseeable purpose. So, it stayed at the store. But it’s fun!View attachment 4080099
We’re headed from Charlotte to Atlanta this afternoon which has great shoppping. I may look around a bit there. :amuse: Anybody else, doing some unexpected shopping?

I’m the same way. I can’t downsize past a certain point. At minimum I have to have my card holder, sunnies, small pouch with lip balm, lotion, lip gloss, etc., tissues, keys, tiny medicine pouch, iPhone and Bluetooth ear piece. I don’t know how people manage with less on a regular basis. If I leave any of these items home, I’m inconvenienced all day.
1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL these shoes!!! I'm a heel fanatic but haven't really unpacked any since my move last summer (well, I only have those I brought away and came back with me...)
2. Since it's summer I've attempted carrying smaller bags but realize I just need more items with me!!! Sunnies, camera, batteries, shawl...
3. Talk about unexpected shopping- I was SO RELIEVED that in my first say, 4/7 venues I was COMPLETELY unimpressed with shopping, to the relief of my wallet. Then I got to Florence (GASP); Venice, Milan... and duty-free got me as well!!! Italy just has SUCH GORGEOUS LEATHERS..

This month I have not been to good and am still waiting for the Mz Wallace Sale. I have been working hard to get rid of the ones that don’t work great and replacing them with ones that do. We have had so much crazy weather this year and even though I am not crazy about saffaino type leathers I bought a second blue Furla bag in this kind of leather. The darker blue tote I bought from them worked so well in winter, that I bought a satchel in a lighter blue for spring/summer. We have had so much rain lately my white bag does not get to come out to play. What have you been carrying lately? I carried my Furla tote yesterday to make sure the color I was buying was truly lighter and it was raining. Lol
I LOVE this shade. And I love Furla!!! I came home with once of those interchangable-flap bags and a bunch of flaps! :D

Better to get your collection to a point where it really works for you than to be “good”, IMHO.:flowers: Every collection needs some bad weather bags and saffiano is a great choice.

I’ve been traveling this weekend and only took two bags with me. LV LockMe II BB View attachment 4082079 and Dior DioramaView attachment 4082078
I just got home and the bag I bought arrived while I was gone. I’m torn. I love it. It’s very different for me but, I know I’d wear it.

I’m not sure I need it, though. In fact I know I don’t. LOL!

Want...need...like... :oh:

More after I decide.
I loooove this silver bag!!! <3

Can’t wait to see your new goodies. Hope you had a wonderful time.

Here are my stats for May:
0 bags & SLGs in
0 bags & SLGs out
1 gallbladder out

And now I am on the mend, thanks to my great surgeon and most of all my wonderful DH, who has been keeping me well nourished and taking me on neighborhood walks to get my strength back.

No interesting bag news to report, since I haven't been going anyplace that requires a handbag! My first "real" outing will be back to the surgeon's office next Thursday. After he gives me his blessing, I'll be able to drive again and that will REALLY feel great.

In the meantime, I can recommend the book "The Last Painting of Sara de Vos" by Dominic Smith and, for David Balducci fans, the entire King & Maxwell series (but it's best to read them in order). Also "The Children Act" by Ian McEwan is quite a tense novel, but he's a great writer.

Kept my Balenciaga Velo AJ in Black and Prada Corsaire in Olive. I sold my LV Iena MM in DA. I think I can not have a bag bigger than the Velo unless it is nylon. Leather bags with any dimension more than 13 inches are too heavy for me. The direction I may go in from here will be smaller bags.
