I love the Halzan, but you know what? The strap is just a little short for crossbody wear on me. I tried it on a few times and always wished the drop was just an inch or two longer. For that price, it was a compromise I wasn’t willing to make. Great bag, though!
Oh, this is good to know. Thank you!! Anything to deter me....(Well, the price is a big roadblock at the moment, LOL)

I just did something similar. Remember my probation closet in a spare bedroom? I had put al my clothes in there when I moved in September and was only bringing clothes into the master when I wore them. That way, this upcoming September I’d know what I didn’t wear and could get rid of it.

Well, I couldn’t take it anymore. LOL! In the last few weeks I’ve gotten rid of most of the remaining items and even a bunch of what I was wearing. I only kept items if I loved them, they fit perfectly (or could be immediately tailored) and were in perfect condition. And, I stopped feeling guilty about things I got on sale that I never should have bought.

So, about 60% of my wardrobe is gone. It feels great. I’m loving the space and it’s easier to get dresses without clutter of items I’m not wearing.

But funny thing - I no longer have much to just putter around in the house on days I’m not wanting to get “dressed” because that was a bunch of odds and ends that needed to go to the trash. Not even charity. LOL! I still have yoga pants and a few T-shirts but, I need to get some cute lounging / errand running outfits. I’m thinking some super comfy dresses????? This isn’t a class of clothing I’ve ever bought. I wore default items that were kinda worn out from “regular” life. Ha!
Great job rotating so you could find out what works and doesn’t work for you! Do you plan to sell the bags that aren’t your faves?
I have no idea how it’s happened. It has to be the picky factor. And, nothing has caught my eye because I’ve gotten out of the habit of looking. I guess that’s a good thing, right?
Whoo Hoo!!!! That is a BEAUTIFUL bag!!:yahoo:

You have two amazing black totes. Both are on my radar. I would love the Chanel you have except I really want a center divider. But my, goodness. That is such a stunning bag, I may have to give on that criterion.

Enjoy!!
Major congrats on the clothing purge. Well done!!
For the bags that aren't my faves - I have a couple things listed already and will probably list some more when I find the energy to take pix and investigate prices, etc. Also have some more scarves to purge. The challenges here have really helped me focus and learn and be determined!

I went into Christian Laboutin last week. I was very tempted to try on a pair. Totally irrational silly girl moment - I wanted some red bottom shoes. When I asked which ones would be the most comfortable, the salesperson said “None of them - they’re works of art.” He said this in the nicest, most congenial way. Not condescending or rude. And, I appreciated his candor. But, I quickly exited and looked at other brands.
This is hilarious!

Verona's bendability is in the middle between merino and Nappa. It has texture. Very prominent and strong. It's good for nonstructured bags though. I don't recommend it with structured bags. After some use, it'll slouchy nicely. More so than Nappa. Out of these 3, Nappa doesn't slouch or even if it does, doesn't show much.

Aquila matte is very much like merino in term of bendability, but it's thicker. It feels like velvet if you glide your hands on them. But while merino, Nappa, and Verona rarely or never show wear, Aquila matte will. It'll absorb oil and scratches will appear, though can be rubbed off. If you love your bags to show wear a bit or look like it's been loved. Aquila matte will be perfect. But if you want your bags to look like new or pristine always. Don't pick this leather. It's hard-wearing, but it'll show where it's been, although slightly, but it'll tell. It can't keep its mouth shut. I love it on my Selene. I don't see it on structured bags though. While I think Nappa may have a chance at making structured bags coz it can hold itself a bit, I don't see Verona and Aquila matte in structured leather at all. And so as merino.
Thanks! Yes, I am all about feel and smooth velvety touch. Box and barenia are my fave H leathers. Don't care about wear and tear showing, because I don't baby my things. All this is great info, thank you.

Just to provide a different opinion I think the Aquila matte feels like rubber/an eraser and I couldn't stand the way my hand felt trying to run along it.

Oops. Sorry. Sent that one out before finish.

I don't like the look of penny messenger. I know many people swear by it, but I don't get it. I don't see it beautiful. Utility, maybe. I used to ask why people love it and someone said they love it and citing the Celine's trio aesthetic which I never get either. No offense, but that bag is just three pouches made of leather sewn together and add very slim strap which all I can by at the market for very cheap. May look cool on some people, but still I don't get it. So, I guess I'll never get penny messenger, too. So, no. I'd rather wait for a nice model to fit with port merino. Maybe one day I'll have that eureka.
I hear you. I dislike the Penny Messy a lot. "Three pouches sewn together" really made me laugh. And the strap!?! Don't like. I bought some charms and pompoms to try to perk up the bag, but then it just looked cheezier.

I like the penny messenger okay, but realized that I hate when my bag falls over when I set it down, so I started preferring the Tumi Luanda flight bag when I need a small crossbody....which looks smaller but it's deeper and more cube like so it doesn't fall over and it fits an insane amount of stuff while looking smaller than the penny messenger.
I do like Phoebe and Penny with a strap for evening outings when I need very little and will be holding it as a clutch most of the time. And I have them in metallic for an evening festive look. For daytime casual I prefer the Luanda flight bag or any little bag that stands up when I set it down.

It's quite the fashion here to be wearing casual dresses paired with sneakers, although more so with the younger generation. How about there?

I see more yoga pants here than dresses, unfortunately. My city has a lot of good things to offer, but fashionable street style isn’t one of them! But I know casual dresses and sneakers is a “thing” right now, so I’m going to see if it will work for me. I’ve tended not to wear dresses much in the past because I didn’t want to wear the shoes that would have to go with them. Fortunately that is changing!

All this talk about shoes...well, confession time. I must be having a mid-life crisis.
In the span of 10 days, I have bought 7 pairs of shoes..and they are all comfortable:shocked:

Confession #2 ..not another scarf! Yes I constipated it for days and finally pulled the trigger

Jardins de Sintra in the silvery colorway and shown here on @Croisette (who has the most sensational collection and is the worst enabler:hugs:)

I “rationalized” it as silver anniversary year and we honeymooned in Portugal and visited Sintra, and cuz it’s sold out everywhere and I have to travel to Canada to get it and since I’m headed there next week, and I like neutral colorways and, and, and...

I had a look on their website a little while ago, they have the natural leather only in the fauve colour which is the one I’d want too. It’s a pity it’s not available in more colours, but all the other colours look to be in grained leather. I hope they’re not phasing it out. If you do go to the shop please report back!
Reporting back - they didn't have the Confort1 in the smooth leather, only the grained.
They did have a few larger purses in the smooth black leather but they were really too big.
I didn't care at all for the 'grained bull leather'. :-s
The SA said that she would pass along the information - so maybe they'll bring it back.

Thanks for the information  they had it on their website when l last looked a couple of weeks ago - looks like I’d better go for one sooner rather than later then, before it sells out  Hope you had a good trip :flowers:

This a beautiful scarf - totally justifiable! Waving from Canada. Enjoy your new shoes!
