I owe @Sparkletastic a pic of my oldest bag in my collection as I found it looking for a dress to show another member. It's the one I've had for the longest time not the oldest in terms of when it was made (that would be a 1910s fully beaded miser purse followed by a 1920s Deco clutch).

The pink velvet and red snakeskin my parents first bought back from a trip to Italy.

Any of you still have really old bags from when you were a kid/teen?.

I do. I actually attempted to use it, too. [emoji16]

Confession time. I have been thinking whether I should declare or not, but this thread is all about accountability, right? I’m happy with the bags but I’m not really happy with myself. This happens when I am able to sell some stuff.

So, on May 21 I placed the order for the Proenza tote. (Delivered on May 25.) But then on May 24, I could not help but avail of the preview sale at Selfridges (and I have Selfridges+ which qualifies me for free shipping on eligible items for 1 year). I have previously seen this bag online and it has caught my interest. One good thing about Selfridges is that for most items, it removes the UK VAT.

Again, the spirit is weak, so I succumbed to temptation. I thought initially of getting the oxblood since I love my other oxblood, but then I tried to imagine having it on my shoulder. I opted to get it in another color instead.

Hopefully my last purchase in a while! Mulberry Camden in Dune. She arrived yesterday, May 28. And my Mautto canvas strap works well with it for a more casual look/longer strap drop. As you can see, I’ve been leaning towards shoulder carry lately.

It look so pretty on you. I forgive you. [emoji16]

(I’ve not been very good, too. [emoji28] I blame it all on Marco. [emoji28])

I’m still on my gray Selene midi MM, but I probably may change out soon?

I wasn’t very good with the Valerie (a new style from MM) release promotion at the beginning of the month. So, now, my quota will be off for a couple months ahead. But I won’t count them in until I get them delivered.

Today, I get some time to spend at home so I’m sorting my clothing crap again and I’m getting rid of something more. I feel quite happy about that. Now, 1/3 of my closet is gone and I love the space. Probably, I’ll have more time later to do it again. [emoji4]

Very pretty bag. Sometimes we just have to forgive ourselves, right?

Downsizing 1/3 of your clothing is awesome!! Major congrats. I am nowhere near that accomplishment.

I reached my goal of wearing 15 bags this month (and it's not quite over). That was fun. What I learned: I have fallen out of love with MM, except for the midi zip Selene (I have two and I love them). Wore the red nappa Zhoe and realized that I do love having a bright red smallish bag, but not that one. No rush in replacing it, but it's in the back of my mind. The celeste merinos hera is a great color but is just a big sac inside, even with divider, and I can't find anything. The Penelope Messenger I wore more out of duty. I just don't like the bag, even though - again - the color (port merinos) is nice.

My goal for next month is to find some adornments for my vache Birkin 35. It needs just a little something.

I’ve gotten more picky too. You’d think that would make the itch go away, but it doesn’t work that way!

A little over a year ago, I bought and then returned two LVs. The itch was bad, but I knew the bags weren’t quite right. I was mad at myself because I hate returning stuff, especially expensive stuff. But within a week of returning those bags, my vintage special order Kelly popped up on Trendlee. Then, I was SO happy I made those returns! :P
What a great reward for staying strong and not compromising! I hate to return stuff too but this bag wouldn’t live happily in my closet. It needs to go to it’s true new home.
it's gorgeous! congrats and enjoy!

Spark, it's cute on the pictures, but is it really comfy in actual wear? it looks heavy (for its size) and i would expect the lock to bang at everything around, chairs, car, wall corners... it will either get scratched quickly, or leave dents on everything on its way, but most likely both.
Chloe Paddy was a hit some time ago, but now it looks dated and many users admitted it was damn heavy because of the lock. Your collection is stunning, regardless of my personal preferences i still can appreciate good and beautiful bags, and yours all are good and beautiful, and this one (imvho) does not reach them to stand by for comparison.
not that i am enabling, but Balenciaga is on sale at the moment... :graucho:
It seems like it wouldn’t be heavy but, it never got to me trying my things in it. I looked at it and thought great bag but not for me. Tried to make it me. It’s just not.
And, I agree it’s not a fit for my collection or the direction I’m moving.

I’ll get to Bal this week.
Yes to the shoes, gown and that little bag is actually really lovely, reminds me of my Sonia Rykiel Domino bags. How I wanted one, in the end gave in to a little black one. Very good for evenings.

Can I be honest and say I don't see you with that AW bag.
Thanks for the vote of confidence on my purchases. I love them and have worn both pairs of shoes already. LOL! I have to admit I’m still thinking about the Fendi bag. So cute!

And, yes, the AW bag just isn’t right for me. :-s It’s repacked and headed back tomorrow. Two more months and I’ll be a year with no new bags. The longer I go, the more I really want any additions to be spot on.

I’m still not craving anything. I am, however, at critical on work bags. I’ve got to add a couple as I’m worried about wearing out what I have. Those don’t have to be true love but they have to be at least one I enjoy

Ten months without a bag purchase — now that’s impressive! And interesting that the less you buy, the more picky you get.

I know we are all trying to be good, but that bag is wonderful, congratulations

I now M die-hard fans will wince but I really love Mulberry's new bags, this one is stunning. Suddenly, beige bags look soooo right.
I read the sentiments about the new designer. But like you, I like a lot of his bags. Having said that, I still want the tree back!

Lol! I hope you get your MM orders soon! So many promos lately, and we need the money tree!!

And speaking of new purchases, here is mine!

You all remember last fall, I bought the BV Chain tote. It’s a great smaller tote, but I found myself still needing a larger bag that I could carry over my shoulder. Something that fit what I usually carry in a large Longchamp le Pliage, but more luxe. In the last several months, I sold two of my three Hermes Garden Party bags because I couldn’t comfortably carry them over my shoulder. So I’ve really been feeling the need for a high-end shoulder tote, preferably with good interior organization but without a center divider.

I coerced DH to come to the Chanel boutique because I really wanted his opinion. Lucky for me, he likes Chanel’s bags more than any other designer, and he also likes my SA. There was one bag that was clearly better for me than the others, and to my surprise, he bought it for me for my birthday!

Here it is: I’m bad with Chanel bag names, but I think it’s called the Classic Timeless Tote.

It has a zip pocket, two open pockets and a key hook on the inside. The closure is a CC turnlock — I have to get used to that and stop tugging on it like it’s a magnet!

There is a full length pocket on the back, with a magnetic snap closure.

It’s calfskin, although it’s soft enough that my SA thought it was lambskin before she checked. It’s incredibly lightweight and feels wonderful!

Thanks for letting me share!
