It might be just wrong lighting, or angle, or camera colours... you should not give up on red just because of one not-so-perfect shot ;)

I only buy bags in excellent, nearly new condition (the exception being vintage Hermes), and only from sites with return policies. I really have to get my hands on a bag to be 100% sure about it, so being able to return is essential for me. I also have a very sensitive nose, so even a whiff of perfume or smoke smell on a bag is a turn-off to me.

That said, two of my most used bags are pre-loved: my Barenia Kelly and my black Chanel Reissue 227. I’m on the fence right now about Chanel — would love another Reissue, would love New, but the prices are becoming insane. That said, all things being equal, I’d still rather buy new than pre-loved.

I also feel like I’m going more toward neutrals, especially black, than ever before. Not too long ago, I would consciously avoid black. Now, I’m really appreciating black, taupe and gray. I still love color in my scarves, though!

I've had 50/50 good and bad experiences buying preloved so lately it's been all new for me. However, I really want a Chanel medium flap or double flap in the future. I've been browsing Fashionphile and Yoogi's and see that I can save when buying preloved. But I've seen rumors here that people have gotten fakes from these sites before. I'd love to save but super scared to get a fake..

Both Fashionphile and Yoogi’s are reputable. You can always get it authenicated on tPF before you buy, or after the fact if you want to use a paid service. I’ve dealt with FF and Yoogis (as well as Ann’s Fabulous Finds and Trendlee) and had good experiences — that said, human error is always possible. Both sites accept returns, so it’s pretty safe.
