That was a great trip. I love getting bags when I’m on vacation. It makes them so much more special. What colors did you get
Hi missie, I didn’t buy any bags on my trip. I brought not bought the following per @ksuromax’s question of which bags do you use on holidays,
- Longchamp Le Pliage Large Shoulder Tote in Gun Metal
- Gucci Soho Leather Disco in black
- Chanel Quilted Wallet on Chain in 00V Red Lambskin

It is an interesting question - since it was asked I've been thinking about it!
I don't know!
When I was looking for a cross body - not too big, not too small, and long enough - I didn't look for a specific color but I knew what I did not want (bright or patterned).
I've discovered I could use an ivory/cream color bag, but I'm not in any hurry to find one because I know I won't carry it much. But twice in May, I've felt like I could have used one if I had one as
I do change my purse almost daily depending on what I'm wearing. Monday's work outfit of cream skirt and pale apricot sweater made me a bit 'holy heck - I do need a light color purse'. I ended up carrying the Confort1 in a Fauve color…. I felt off all day. :blah:

I have lost on the last several scarves I've bid on - I am on Pause Peninsula too! :crybaby:
Is that the Just Campagne bag? I really like them but don’t have one, I’d love one in fauve

Yes it is - and I just love it!
I had planned on (and might still) stopping into the shop in Paris next week, but they've changed the leather to a 'grained bull skin' and I'm not sure I will like that. I like this one enough that I would purchase it in black - but I dunno know now.

I had a look on their website a little while ago, they have the natural leather only in the fauve colour which is the one I’d want too. It’s a pity it’s not available in more colours, but all the other colours look to be in grained leather. I hope they’re not phasing it out. If you do go to the shop please report back!

I guess I'm one of the few rainbow people!
Actually I'm not trying to have every color, my color holes were meant to imply colors in my list of favorite colors that I didn't have. I've basically turned my back on anything neon, as well as ocher, yellow, green, terra cotta, rust, orange and basically all autumn colours that have anything yellow or pumpkin-y in them . I did get a red-orange bag recently that is the best and I'm thrilled with it. I'm shocked that a bag that's any kind of orange is working out!
My main colors are earth tones, blue tones and a few cool pink/purple/reds. I even have very very few black bags, preferring navy.

But now I think I've got everything on my list of favorite bag colors SOOOO I can eventually branch out.
I used to think I wanted bags in every color (happened with RM). But as my collection evolved, I got to know which colors work and which don't. Last year (or the year before?), I let go of turquoise blue, yellow and fuchsia bags and worked on my blacks. Now I'm happy with my neutral colored bags and slowly I'm feeling the itch for some color again, specifically fuchsia (and later maybe yellow again). We'll see where this goes. As it is, I'm trying to restrain myself from getting a tote. As of today, the available colors of said tote are turquoise, brown, coral, orange and blush. If fuchsia were available, no question I would have gotten the bag! But I'm still tempted!

Thanks Elaine!! A plus is I can still smell wonderful leather!! Btw, I am off/on on this MJ Single. If I find a good deal on a large in a color I want, then maybe...This pink and the black I have are both XL. I think I 'need' a smaller one TOO.
I used to own an XL in cognac, and I parted with it a couple of years ago. The color was nice, but the XL was too large for me. My stuff just rattled around in the bottom, and it drove me crazy! :annoyed:

I’ve decided that I will get a bag that covers as a personal item and city bag.

If you were looking for a bag to fit this requirement ( airline personal item & city bag) what would you choose?
It will likely be a tote. Although I have travelled internationally with the likes of the AMQ Padlock as my personal item.

I think it depends on the trip and how much I carry. If I'm not conscious of wasting precious airline space it doesn't really matter. But if the intention is to maximize what I can bring back home, then I will use a tote, preferably a leather one since I just love leather bags. But it should not be heavy also.

Your question is timely to me since I'm contemplating getting a Proenza Schouler tote, a N/S plain leather tote with nice strap drop. Although a little on the big side. I've tried it in a store and I know it would make a great personal item.

Talk to me about how rainbow hardware lasts over time... I'm receiving 4 bags with it this summer. Wondering if the hardware looks good over time.

i have one - Balenciaga City, designed by the same guy AW who made Rocco with iridescent feet you asked about in the other thread
I got mine in 2016, this picture is the very first one i took as soon as the bag got out of her dustbag
