I love your H collection, Mimmy... and also the "view" behind each of them! The contrast strap on your Evie really pops. Did the bag come this way? (Forgive my ignorance... I know nothing about H bags!)
Would love to see pix of some of your H scarves. Do you ever match your H scarves to your H bags?

Thank you, Elaine! My H scarf collection is made up of 2 scarves. [emoji23] Nowhere near the number of beautiful scarves that you have.

I hope that I at least use them to complement my H bags, if not match them. Brazil II scarf. Yes, the strap came with my bag. The bag color is colvert and the strap is bleu atoll. I was very fortunate to find this combination.

This is probably the last time that I should post this Picotin photo, as I have posted it several times before. Minuit au Faubourg scarf.

I found a previously taken photo of my Silk' In coin purse. The color is bleu electrique. The lining is bolduc. I used a stock photo of the lining as it is very difficult to hold it open and take a pic.

I am allowed to continue to be lazy, as I found all these photos on my phone!! In my defense, it's over 90 degrees outside; even if you're by the water it's hot! [emoji295]️ [emoji95] [emoji91]

As bake said, paculina, I would guess that this is a vintage bag? I have seen this with bags that are older. Newer bags have a different type of lining. I have also seen that people are able to have the the 'plasticky' part removed by a cleaner, leaving a felt type lining. I have no idea what kind of cleaner does this though. Maybe a 'specialty dry cleaner'? I don't think that Gucci's warranty extends to a vintage bag.
Yes, it is a vintage bag. Not sure it's one that I want, just thought it was odd.

Decided I definitely needed to get un-lazy!

My only only other H item. A brooch. I love how Petit h items are so detailed. The backing is a silk that I assume is a scarf design. I am not skilled at H scarves at all.

I have no idea what pattern my dolphin is made from either.

If any of you who are skilled in scarves can ID these patterns, I would love to know! [emoji173]️

As some of you know, one of my other loves is Hello Kitty!

Such beautiful, bright scarves. And I love the bleu electrique coin purse. It must be really easy to find inside your bag!

Over 90 degrees... wow! :amazed: It's 66 degrees & sunny here, and everyone is raving about how unseasonably mild it is for summertime (usually we get chilly weather and fog in the summer). Fortunately I never mind dressing in layers!

the market is filled with them
Excellent points! Thanks Bake for stopping me taking a misstep. Tried Delightul today and turned out that the wide shoulder strap was too slippery for my narrow shoulder. I try to avoid crossbody bags unless they are minis. Bigger crossbodies would kill half of my body. I believe canvas NF PM/MM would work (not in stock atm at my local boutique to try) but I guess it'd sell even more terribly since they're everywhere. Btw, Palm Springs mini is very cute.

@dcooney4, I love to buy what I love too :) but after the ardeous cleaning process I'd prefer the models which are easy to sell when I don't need anymore... except Burberry. I do admire how they have re-builded their brand so successfully after the downhill due to chavs and nowaday, B is a pioneer with digitalization in fashion industry thanks to Ahrendts.

Thanks, @ElainePG! I think trying to ID a scarf from just a little sample is similar to hearing just a few notes of a song and trying to name it. [emoji3]

In my perfect world I would spend time in FL in the winter, and spend time in CA in the summer.

Random question. I see a Gucci bag for sale and the seller says that the inside lining is coming off and leaving a sticky residue. Really?? Is this normal? Is it suspicious? For the amount of money Gucci charges for their bags, I expect the lining to be sewn in rather than glued for one, and certainly not to peel!

It does happen to some vintage bags (2 of mine included). If you post the link on the AT Gucci thread and nudge me to take a look I'll check it out

Maybe start a thread on the Hermes forum, it'd be a great game to play and someone there will id it, maybe has the same scarf.

Sort of random in light of the current discussion but I was not sure where else to fit this.

So, in the pursuit to only keep bags I love and use...I have had three Rebecca Minkoff Nikki hobos on the chopping block since January. They are my last holdouts of my RM bags and I just could not let them go so I put them into "storage" to see if I ever reached for them before saying goodbye. I have not really been counting them in my collection as I suppose internally I already knew they were gone. I have not turned to them once, and each time I have thought of it I have reached for something else.

I did try them on again today - to give them one last chance - and decided they just do not work for me anymore, at all. I love the colours, and the wonderful leathers, and that is really the only reason why I have been holding onto them. Otherwise, they just don't work - the shape, the lack of structure, the shoulder drop, the shoulder strap...it has been hard as the colours and the wonderful old school RM leathers bring me joy, but the actual function and enjoyment...just do not!

I decided to pack them up for the final time today and tomorrow I will see if a couple of my coworkers want them - I would love to see someone else loving and using them, if it could not be me! If they aren't interested, I will donate them. I am also going to pack up a couple MK bags that are sort of redundant in my collection to see if my coworkers want them, if not they too will be going to donation.

Of all my bags I purged (I purged 15+ earlier this year), these three RMs have been the most "difficult" to let go of! I do not think I will regret it once they are gone, but it is just taking that step. Anyone else have that one (or more!) bag that they knew they were not going to love or use, but just had a hard time actually letting go of? Did you keep it, or did you eventually set it free (ha ha)?

I'm back from my home in the wild for a while. This is me behind my garden 20668661_1877667748928407_1501591070_n.jpg

While I've been gone from on-line business Photobucket ate all my photos :coolio: so I may be image-light for a while.

I will try to catch-up soon and look forward to seeing your H, Choos and MG bags. I think most of you have seen my H bags/SLGs anyway and I sadly don't have any JC or MGs.

No bag purchases from me during July, I haven't even been to H to check out the AW17 scarves

I am spending too much time thinking about Gucci though, I went to an event on Weds at Harrods (London) and they have some very nice new things including something called DIY which lets the buyer do the customising. Gucci sent me the most beautiful embroidered green silk, toile lined pouch, they know how to seduce me...:p

The market saturation just emphasizes to buy to keep. I get that resale is important, like it is to you, but the resale market seems to be unpredictable in the sense of the sheer amount available.

With LV, if you want resale on a common style, get a seasonal or LE, especially if the pattern shows popularity.

If that rumor of limiting canvas production ever happens, then that would be the time to hoard classics. Lol.

Stunning photo, papertiger! This should be framed or in a magazine!

One of my nightmares is to lose my photos. Sorry to hear that Photobucket ate yours.

Ohh, love to think about new Gucci items. The embroidered green, silk pouch sounds lovely! [emoji172]
