Bought my first Longchamp in July. A Large Shopping Tote I found at Winners for 40% off retail. I LOVE it and it has become a near daily carry as my "second work bag". It also accompanied me on vacation this past weekend. I never understood the appeal of LC nylon bags until I actually got and used one. Amazing, and want more of them (but now officially as of August 1, 2017 on a ban!).

For Gucci I have some more sunnies! I have not even worn a couple of them yet. Time to change that in honour of this week.

My goodness, I love love your MD collection!! Beautiful colors and leather!! Who could resist adding? Lol, not to enable.Congrats everyone on their monthly totals. It looks like most people are doing really well with their goals.
I, however, am going down in flames.
Bags (Total collection: 28 plus 10 carefree)
• July: 0 out / 2 in
• YTD: 10 out / 9 in (Really, how???)
SLG's (Total collection: 6)
• July: 0 out / 0in
• YTD: 1 out / 2 in
My two adds this month were
1) a temporary fix: the black Dior tote that we've talked about here.
... and...
2) an "I soooo don't need it. I can't possibly justify it. But I want it!" bag
I finally got a yellow bag after seeing all the pretty ones here during yellow week and then dithering over whether I could make it work with my wardrobe. The deciding factors for me in taking the plunge on yellow were I got it in a bag I know I love and I got the bag for a ridiculous steal.
And so, I got another Miss Dior Sliding chain!!
This one in bright yellow lambskin with soft gold hardware!

I love these bags because they are super functional. They are really roomy without looking too big when I wear them. And the sliding chain let's me wear it crossbody or shoulder. I love these bags!! But now I gotta stop. No more MD SC's! LOL!
Hehe, 15 is just a dream for now.For a bag lover, make sure you set a realistic to you goal. 15 sounds great but if it'll stress you out trying to get there, I wouldn't force it, you know what I mean?
Thank you!
My Alma is indigo, actually! It's such a chameleon sometimes. [emoji4]
It was fun and funNY! The first few tries I just looked like a scared spider monkey desperately clinging to the wall halfway up.This sounds like so much fun! It's awesome that you jumped in and tried this--trying to imagine having sore forearms!![]()
I also had a story with LCs. I didn't want to join the bandwagon on the Le Pliage (LP) as everybody here was into it. That was maybe around 2010 (or earlier?? or was it later??). Anyway, I finally decided to get one just for the heck of it. I bought from a group buying site here, and when I received the bag, I totally doubted its authenticity. I was irked because I just wanted to have 1 and then this happened. Anyway, the seller still claimed authenticity but agreed to refund me upon the bag's return.I felt that way about LC back in the day. It was starting to get super popular then and I couldn't understand why.
Then I got one as a lighter school bag and I was hooked. It's a gotta try and see if it works for you bag.
Love your sunnies! I wish I could wear them! [emoji41]
Is there a way for me to know which bags have thicker leather? Do they have date codes or a slight change in the look?My goodness, I love love your MD collection!! Beautiful colors and leather!! Who could resist adding? Lol, not to enable.
I like the leather better on my first AMQ, so just be sure to check if you decide to bite the bullet on a cobalt one.

Well, there are some numbers on the underside of the tag but I don't know how to read them. Not much info on AMQs in the forum. I'm not sure if my use of "thinner" leather is correct, but somehow it is different, maybe more waxy or maybe a tiny bit on the plasticky side?? But not really. Plus, weights on my 2 AMQs are the same. Sorry, I am not much of a help.Is there a way for me to know which bags have thicker leather? Do they have date codes or a slight change in the look?
Might like that color even better ... I don't think I've seen it IRL but now I'll be on the lookout. I love spotting bags in the wild.

Because of this incident, I decided to get one from a boutique. I asked a sister of mine who would be traveling to HongKong to get one for me (cheaper there than here). Not sure if it was 2010. So that was my first LC. I stopped there for a long time. But what really worked for me was the travel duffel I received as a gift in 2011 (maybe ?). Then I don't know how I got to my current number since getting a general bag addiction in 2013/2014!! Haha. The small short handle and small long handles are my faves for the nylon LPs. Then I love my Cuirs. Then when I used my medium Neo last week for work, seemed I also really really liked it. Previously it was only designated as a carefree/for trips bag, now it has moved to my mainstream bags. Will post my collection later.
I think that different numbers are right for different people. You love bags and love rotating them (I'm the same way). So maybe getting "down" to a certain number isn't the best goal. For example, I look at usage and don't want bags I don't use regularly. But the goal could be around function, space, total money spent, etc.I think you did Marie Kondo, right? I'm glad you are where you want to be (more or less) in terms of maintaining your collection. Just a few hours ago I was thinking if I could manage with, say, only 5 daily bags. While I was able to identify what these 5 bags would be, I know I want to still retain some more. In my mind I think I will be happy if I could get my collection down to 15 daily bags, and then just a few occasion bags. But this is just a dream for now, not even a target yet.![]()
