I'm with you on knowing what my size should be or close to, but I have to try on. I hate being in cramped little rooms changing clothes, trying to see if you like it, separating the yesses to the maybes to the not in this lifetime!! Ugh....
My two best friends both hate to shop for anything, so I have to go alone. You're so right about what goes around comes around. I was looking up clothes from the 70s and thought I still like that and would wear it!
I actually prefer to go alone. I can go faster that way. Inevitably if I go with anyone other than DD (we like the same things just modified to be age appropriate) the friends will want to shop in stores or sections that don't interest me. So I go in stealth mode and get out.
That wouldn't make me the happiest person. A little notice would have been nice.
I'm a little irritated. It's family. But still. Older relatives tend not to think they have to ask permission as much as just "do".

We thought we were cool! Lol! I do still love many things from that time. I don't know if it's because it was the first time I was really interested in what I was wearing or if the 70s were just that cool?! [emoji6][emoji6][emoji6]

Well, considering how many times the 1970s is plundered for fashion ideas it seems a lot of people still think it's cool

I have in-laws coming over in a couple of weeks. Last time they came over for lunch, I was ordered out of my own kitchen. I may move out for the duration and leave DH plus guests to it.

Bell bottoms, flares, whatever they can be called look really good on a lot of figures, and short dresses and clogs and Dr Scholl sandals, maxi coats, macrame handbags.... You're right, it's cool! [emoji6]

I agree, shopping alone you get more done, but just once it would be nice to wander around with a friend/s, shop, have lunch....
Family can be so much fun...And a lot of work. My family left this morning and we had fun and it was nice to wave goodbye!

I used to shop with my sister (the one in the US) when she was still based here. I liked having someone tell me how the clothes look as sometimes we really can't tell by ourselves. Then she left, and I was forced to shop alone. Then I just got so used to it that I can't stand shopping with others. I feel rushed. And when they are the ones doing the shopping for themselves, I get bored.
I'll post on my Stylebook thread (it's in the wardrobe subforum). [emoji4]
Don't wanna take up thread space here, it's already so hard to keep track of what's going on haha.
I also did a lot of searching and choosing for embellished straps. I like yours. But I didn't get that one for myself. I planned to only get one and it has to be versatile. Will post mine in a while. What a timing, since I am now in the office and used this MK strap for the first time too.

Here is the MK studded strap with my Alma. I have looked at several straps. I narrowed my choice to: genuine leather and strap length of no more than 40" or just close to it. I would have preferred for this to be shorter but this is at the shortest setting.

I have also attached this to my AMQ Padlock bag (birch color) but the picture is not on this phone. Incidentally, my main phone is at the Apple service center for diagnostics. I was told that best case scenario is battery replacement, which costs a little over $100. Sigh, it's easier to spend on bags than these stuff.

Oh, I love the strap you bought! Looks so nice with your bag. This strap came in a nudeish/taupe color that I wanted to get, but I just don't think I have the right color bag for it.
