Wow, liz, that's such exciting news! A house and a baby, all in the same year... wonderful!
I'm pretty sure there are threads for Mommy bags, and in fact there were a couple of Purse Blog posts on this topic too, since @Megs had a baby a few months ago and wrote about the customized nylon Prada bag she's been pretty much carrying nonstop.
Are you feeling better now that the first trimester has passed?
And are you & DH totally settled into your new house, or is there still "nesting" work to do?

Hi Elaine! Thank you! I'm feeling loads better, way more alert and energetic with a better appetite. Only thing is I get tired easily and get a killer backache if I'm out shopping or standing/walking for a long time for any other reason. Think that is to be expected though.
I saw that post on Megs' Prada bag, it looks great on her! I've mostly been looking at nylon bags as well, and DH and I both like the LC neo medium best so far. I think we're pretty set on it actually because we keep coming back to it no matter how many bags we look at! Looked at a lot of Prada, Tory Burch, Kate Spade etc. Almost bought the Henri Bendel convertible backpack on impulse earlier this week but I'm glad I didn't because after thinking about it for a while, it would probably end up being pretty tight space-wise for baby things and I'm more likely to use the LC for non baby purposes than the HB. DH likes the LC better as well, so I've started keeping an eye out for sales.

The last time I was here, DH and I hadn't even moved into the new house yet That's definitely a big part of why I haven't been around, and we are expecting a baby in October (our first!) so those first trimester nasties knocked me out for a while too. I'm actually back on tpf because I've been doing research on what mommy bag to get haha.

Highly recommend the LC Neo with the cross body strap. Just get a bag organizer and you'll be set. You can clean the bag easily as well. Worry free!

I had a lovely lazy pub lunch today with an old friend, and carried my black bolide Apologies for using an old photo but I'm now firmly welded to the sofa and no plans to move anytime soon!

So glad you're feeling better, bake, just in time for the weekend.
I've been carrying my LV Capucines all week. Such a convenient bag in the BB size, and a good weight, too.
Weekend plans: DH and I are going out to dinner at our favorite restaurant to celebrate our anniversary tomorrow night. I haven't decided which bag to take... maybe my little Jason Wu Daphne mini-bag. (I'll post it next week when we show pix of multicolored bags!)
Then on Sunday it's the last concert of the Symphony season (we have a subscription) and if I'm not lazy I'll switch to a different small bag.
The baby shower sounds like fun! Are you going to try the bouncy castle???

Thanks bake! Yay glad to hear you recommend it! That's exactly what we're planning to do and I'm pretty confident it'll make a great mommy bag with an organizer inside. It will be my first LC and I'm pretty excited!

The weather is warming up again, just in time for a baby shower at the park! I'll be carrying one of my wallet on chains.

And then hoping to hit up some foodie spots, with weather this nice, I don't want to be cooped up at home anymore!
