Which bags do you plan to let go?
I've also noticed bag sales being pretty slow. I wonder why. Other than the demonically cursed red Gucci, I have four bags left to sell - all listed with good photos, full descriptions, and priced aggressively. I can't drop the price any more or it would just be better for me to keep them. For example, I listed a pristine condition $4900 bag at 75% off. I'm not however going to sell it for say $750 even if that's now the market value.
Anyway, no movement on any of these since I first listed them in Jan / Feb. it's frustrating.
Question for everyone: do you have a bag you keep even though you know you won't wear it often? What bag is it and why are you keeping it?
Mine is my Chanel ivory glazed lamb single classic flap with bijoux hardware.
I can't get this bag to fit in my rotation well at all. There always seems to be a better option in my wardrobe. But it's my only bag in the white / cream color range and I feel like I would get frustrated if I didn't have this color when I needed it.
I'm curious to see what your little used "keeper" bag is.![]()
That sounds a gorgeous bag, can we see a picture?
I recently sold off most bags that are no longer my favourites, it's been a 2 year process,

Fortunately I sold Mulberry at a good time. I bought before their huge price hikes so there wasn't a problem getting in the region I paid. They made up 95% of my collection for many years but I lost that loving feeling! I feel they look like Michael Kors now.
I still have some Mulbs I will keep but there are only a few that work well for me now, my favourite being blue Ostrich Bayswater, all my others Bays have gone. Recently decided I'm uncertain what to do with my two Lily bags and one Alexa. I prefer a Chanel Flap for an evening bag so I guess my little used " Keepers " have become my Ostrich Lily, Haircalf Lily & Silky Snake Alexa. I just can't see myself using them a lot in the future but they are only tiny

I also rarely repeat colours/shades and I'm not a fan of black or brown bags, I only have one brown and one black. I feel every girl should have a little black bag and mines a medium Chanel lambskin flap. The rest of my collection are various shades of pink & mauve, blue, green, beige, ivory etc
I agree sales are slow at the moment tho, I always find it more difficult to sell a more expensive bag myself. I think buyers are less trusting of an expensive private sale. I've had a python Chloe for sale for some time that cost me £2000 and thinking I'd probably be better off sending it to consignment but I'd rather keep than sell for next to nothing and I've had some silly offers!
Two more weeks till Hawaii!!
I'm so excited.
Oh where are you going you lucky thing. I've only been once, my son dragged us there for his wedding and I absolutely adored it, paradise. It's a horrendously long flight from UK but we are hoping to do one more trip sometime soon

There are two bag brands that I regret not getting into earlier: Mulberry and Rebecca Minkoff. I've always liked the MAM and I've read on TPF about how wonderful the quality was on these bags. So I think you picked a winner to keep.
LOL!
Ohmigoodness. I fly a LOT and I've never had a flight that didn't allow a personal item.Sometimes they hate check the p.i., (which makes me want to jump out a window - I pack fragile and very necessary things in that bag) but I have always been able to have a p.i.
And thanks for the nice words on my packing. I'm a bagaholic who feels travel is life! So I have to make it work!!!![]()
I've not really travelled hugely in the past, juggling family, work has only allowed maybe 2/3 holidays abroad but the balance is changing now and we are travelling far more. We left dreary winter at home last year for our first ever Xmas away and it's opened the floodgates!!! Fortunately DH feels the same and we just can't get enough trips organised at the mo and my bags & scarves have to come too. We plan to spend the summer months at home but I will be busy with the downsizing and finding our "place in the sun"
Sadly there seem too many flights from UK that don't include p.i. and I've been asked to put my handbag into my hand luggage before. Whenever possible I've upgraded but I'm trying to avoid those airlines now. I also get round it by taking a "duty free" carrier bag and putting by handbag in there...............Lol for some reason it's okay to take carrier bags full of duty free goods on board
