I really wanted to buy Mom a new bag, because shopping for bags is my favorite pastime.

But she really likes her small set of LV, plus her inexpensive Coach, Kipling, and Longchamp. I feel like she won't use anything else no matter how much she added.

So I got her a laptop.

It was not that fun to shop for at all.

I can't wait till vacation, then I can go look at the new releases for May! Charms and SLGs galore!

Are any of you getting your mother's a bag this year? Or are you expecting a bag/SLG for Mother's Day?
No bags this time. Got her a pretty nightgown and matching robe.

I wanted to get her a bag, but she said no. I still have no idea, but Mother's Day here is in August, so I still have time.

Other ladies also suggested for me to lower the price. Though I'm not sure if there will be takers still. One sister of mine has this bag, and since she doesn't rotate much, the bag has tremendously softened and it seems she doesn't find it difficult to access the inside. So my dilemma is whether I should keep it and break her in so that it will be easier to get stuff in and out or I should wait for it to sell no matter what. My problem with the first option is that I find joy using bags that are like new. So I'm not sure how I'd feel with it broken in.

I really like your Boy! And your PS. Plus I was drawn to your Miu Miu.

Will do!

Love your MM bag!! Can't wait to see the others too!

Can you borrow your sister's bag for a day? Or even a few minutes just to try it on and see how you like it? Coz if you can say you don't like a soften bag, then, this one has to go.

Your new bag is beautiful. I hope you get some relaxation soon.

I want to, but this year so far hasn't been too kind. [emoji28] I'm writing up some projects now, but I'm tired and want to sneak out. Too bad I know I have to get it done before DD 's school is off and I have to pick her up. [emoji29] Dropping by the thread will do. [emoji28]

I left the gym tonight and my car wouldn't start. This is the second time in about 4 months that this happened. So it seems I need a new battery for my car. :annoyed:

The battery + installation will cost far less than any one wardrobe item I've purchased over the last month. So why does it feel like a tortuous financial burden / pure highway robbery for me to spend the money on it? I just don't care even a little bit about cars. I would drive a rusty 1940's school bus if it weren't for the fact that my DH insisted I get a "nice" car. I just want a box on wheels that simply GOES!

Anyone else feel no qualms about buying a handbag that costs 3 - 5 figures yet squawk loud and long at teeny bills for other stuff? :amuse:

Msd- it sounds like you just want the bag gone. Take some new pictures and drop the price a bit. Hopefully it will go soon.

DC/Vink, I'm now thinking if I should go back to the consignment shop that quoted me low on this bag. In fairness, they sell bags fairly fast, although of course with exceptions. As a side note, my SIL tried to consign her almost new LV Pallas monogram (forgot the size, but not the smallest) with them, but she was offered a very low price. Good prices for buyers, but not for sellers really.

when my DH replaced a small motor that drives the blinder under his car's sunroof back and forth for 1,000$ i was nearly tearing my hear off
but then i thought - he must be feeling the same seeing me paying the same $$$ for something that i already have. in multiples. so i shut my mouth and didn't say anything  better not to trouble trouble

Guilty as charged [emoji23]. I get panic attacks when we need to get quotes for work that needs to be done around the house but won't bat an eyelid on dropping 3 - 4 grand on a handbag [emoji23].

Sorry about the car though; thats one of my worst nightmares, having a flat tire or dead battery whilst on my own. Its right up there with one of my kids playing with my high-end designer bags [emoji33], lol

That actually make sense. If the price isn't low enough to make a significant differences in paying first hand, it'd be very hard to attract buyers. I got that a lot with stuff I'm selling. [emoji20] That's why I just choose to give away instead. [emoji20]

I know. [emoji4] There's also a similar thread in the financial section of the forum regarding this issue. Well, I don't like paying for a big car maintenance, but I know for a clueless like me, it's easier than to have it break on me. Plus, I drive a long way very often (twice a week) so I have to suck it up. Yeah... I know I'd love to spend it on stuff I like, yeah... but sometimes, I have to suck it up, too. [emoji20]
