So I'm bummed. I fell in love with the Vintage Coach Stewardess bags - looked for a couple of months, found one on Posh and hubs encouraged me to go for it as Christmas to myself.

Well it arrived today. It was described as a "messenger" but it does NOT go across my body. That's is what it means - messenger right? I took it to mean larger style crossbody. And it is the modern take not the vintage one.

I've submitted for a return, and am afraid it won't happen. Which means this beautiful purse became a shoulder bag, which I have never been good at rocking.

This bag will sit there taunting me. I feel foolish and misled. :(

[please ignore the mess. Please and thank you]

If you can't return it, can you sell it?

Thank you! I appreciate your positive spin on the situation. :flowers:

[Sorry I just read my last posts and seem whiny to myself.]

No, I see why you'd be disappointed especially when you're not sure if you can return it and continue your search.

The most we can ever do is hope for the best and stay positive!

At the very least, classic style Coach is pretty popular. :) so if you had to sell it, you should be able to get something for it.

If not, it's still a lovely bag, just smaller with a shorter strap.

I'm sorry this happened. I'm not familiar with Poshmark's return policy but I would certainly push hard to get the return because it's not as described. I just googled "messenger" and from Wikipedia...

"A messenger bag (also called a courier bag) is a type of sack, usually made out of some kind of cloth (natural or synthetic), that is worn over one shoulder with a strap that goes across the chest resting the bag on the lower back.[1]"

No way this could go across the chest unless you are an infant. So I would share the definition if they got squirrelly. You also may have recourse & protection if you used a credit card.

Good news! I sold the wallet, necklace and bracelet I posted already! :yahoo:And someone from Facebook wants to meet me tomorrow to buy one of the inexpensive bags. I've never done that before so I'll have to think about it. I'd rather ship it than meet.

This isn't a lot of money but it's a start to refunding my play money account. Now if one of these expensive bags can just sell quickly too!

I talked myself out of the colorful Lady Dior. But the Mirabeau is still on my mind. Someone talk me out of it please!

Congrats on the sales!! For the Mirabeau, I love Epi, but I would worry that the smooth leather on the bottom of the bag would get dinged up. When I had a Black Epi Alma, the smooth leather around the bottom kept getting white marks on it when I would carry the bag. It drove me crazy. Plus, the Mirabeau's shoulder strap is not very wide and it may get uncomfortable if you put a laptop and other items in the bag. Does that help?

#3 for 31. I rarely use this bag coz I don't like how the long strap dig in my shoulder. But then again, maybe I overloaded it coz it's fine today. So, this is my MBMJ Ukita. It's a larger sized one.

Very pretty!

#3 in January: the Bays I missed when visiting my parents. The last two days I still carried the Peekaboo and a black LC Le Pliage with long handles for an overnight stay. Peekaboo is now in its dustbag for the first time since I got it in November! (Dear me, auto correction wrote "dustbin" - better not!)

Love the Bays! It has such a classic style.

Loving all the pics! Bag #2 - adopted this from the back of my mom's closet last year. Is it too boring? I probably have doubt because it was "unwanted," but I really do like how it looks small but fits everything I need including an iPad and umbrella! View attachment 3564107

Definitely not too boring to me. I love saddle bags and the leather looks great. Plus, it sounds like it is the perfect size bag for you,

Love Indigo!

Day 3 is Seren Bennett drawstring by Kate Spade. Was going to stay in the small Roxy because I never ended up going out yesterday even though I moved in to it but the weather is nasty out . This one will be much easier to wipe down.

Very pretty!

Here is my 2 of 10 for 31. Its from my no count pile. Italian leather bag that I got from TJM for few hundred bucks. It's really big and makes great workhorse but I don't really like it. Not worth selling

This bag has a really interesting look. Is the main portion of the bag suede?

Well I bought something! :yahoo:

Wait for it! :giggle:

Prepare to be impressed, amazed and in awe....:p

My makeup bag is on its last legs but I refuse to spend money on SLG's. I like them but think - that's a third of the way to a purse! So I splurged and bought this pouch for a whopping 99 cents on eBay. I'm just hoping for fabric better than tissue paper at that price.

But seriously, I know I'll need to get something a little better than this eventually but why are branded pouches so expensive?? Can someone please ask the handbag fairy to put a fuchsia Chanel pouch similar to this under my pillow? Are there good quality, inexpensive, non saffiano pouches out there that I've missed?

I love quilts and the color looks pretty. But, what kind of makeup bag are you looking for? Just leather? What about color? Or size?

I'm sorry that the Stewardess bag doesn't work for you. Hopefully your return will get approved!

I think it was a limited release... I only saw it in a couple of places. The right-hand corner is actually made out of multiple pieces of leather, overlapping. Makes it really fun to carry, and I can't BELIEVE that I haven't carried it since last March! That's why I like using checklists, but it also tells me that I really ought to take the time to switch out my bags more often.

Is anyone else here like me, swapping out a full-sized bag only once a week? (Not counting a clutch bag or mini bag for a special event, of course.)
Or am I the only lazy one? :annoyed:

I change every day to compliment my outfit. Sometimes twice a day if I'm going out in he evening.

I change every day as well... and also change to a different bag at another time in the day on some days. I sometimes think I'm being ridiculous but I just enjoy it.

I am plunging back into this thread (and the forum) after a messy 2016. In 2016, I switched jobs and moved and developed some complicated medical issues relating to my spine. I bought way too many purses in 2016 and want to go through my collection and get rid of the purses and SLGs that really do not work for me. This will be a bit tricky as I am still in the process of moving and I do not have all of my purses and SLGs in my current location. But, I am hopefully going to finish moving soon and then I can really focus and figure out what is staying in my collection and what I still want to add. So, I am going to try and develop my goals throughout the month of January.

For the first and second day in January, I've been carrying my Shinola Relaxed Hobo in Navy, which I love and has been a great addition to my collection.

Looking forward to a great 2017!
That's quite a bit to deal with. I wish you well for 2017.

Ok. I kept my promise. I listed 3 bags and 2 pieces of costume jewelry on 4 different sites. :annoyed: (Nothing was expensive enough for Vestiare)

So listing totals so far: 7 handbags, 1 wallet and 2 costume items.

Tomorrow my goal is to list the watch, 3 pair of sunnies and 2 more bags. Then Wed, the remaining 4 bags. That way all my purgatory bags, all the sunnies and some extras will be listed. I'll work on the furs, some of the clothes and the rest of the jewelry when I get back. I'm writing this down in my Evernote so I remember.

This is awful. This punishment is making me really committed to ONLY buying what I will keep. I hate this. :yucky:
Bless your heart. Listing/selling is such a hassle. You did great!
