I am wearing my toffee Veneta for the second day paired with blue shirts, and i have a question for everyone, do you have steady colour combos which you take as proven and tested and go for them blindly (knowing that it will 100% work for you) or, on the opposite, any colour combos that you will NOT dare to wear or at least will try on before giving it a go?
For me such combos are back and lime/fluo green, dark violet and fluo green, toffee and pale blue/teal/turquoise - my trusty ones, anything with red and/or green ONLY AFTER a multiple check ups in different mirrors and at different lighting, wrong shade of red or green can ruin me completely, making me look ill, or vulgar....
Here are my 2 last looks with Veneta in Toscana

Sadly, i'm not good enough with putting together outfits other than basics to have favourite or steady color combos lol. I think at best, it would be navy and fuchsia, and cobalt and orange - and those were pinterest inspired haha.

I've also made pillows for all of my bags so now instead of pulling out reams of tissue I just have a pillow which I leave on the spare bed
these are fabulous! And I love that when they're out they're actually functional as decoration too. What a great idea! I got lucky while my aunt was clearing out one of her stores and for some reason she had tons of small pillows that she let me have, which fit perfectly in a lot of my bags.

I stuff mine with favourite clothes that my kids have grown out of - soft tshirts, sweaters - and then pretend that I'm not at all sentimental. [emoji4]
I love this haha.

Question for everyone! What is your most used bag so far this year?

I'm floored to see that mine is my LV Lockme II BB. But, it makes sense because sometimes I change into it after the workday to run around for errands, etc. I feel better now about the price for such a little bag. I've already worn it 21 times this year.

My second most used is my black patent Chanel Jumbo with 12 wears.

So what's yours? Any surprises? Do you think you need to rotate more or are you happy with how things are going with your use of your collection?
mine would be my RLL totes for work, but coming in a close second is actually this bad boy - which is my be-lated offering for green day. It's a Miu Miu hobo in an extremely pale mint green. This bag.. it's like my horror story of bags.. Bought it, loved it, wore it carefully, but major color transfer and it just seems to go down hill from there... got it re-dyed and touched up and now it has a plasticky feel to it, despite it still being super soft.. I think when I bought it i didn't' realize how delicate the leather was going to be. Add to it, the handle cracking and peeling. Just horrible. Many of you who were in the previous threads will remember this bag. BUT.. I love it, and its' really a carefree bag for me and I can chuck it around.. it's sizable when I need to fit a lot of stuff, but when there's not a lot in it, hugs my body so it's not overwhelming. You can't tell in the picture but the handle is quite worn down and I'm waiting for it to fall off before deciding what to do with it. Miu Miu mint hobo.JPG

Where is the wear on the handle? Could the handle be fixed or replaced so you can keep it as a carefree bag?

pinterest is great for outfit ideas!

Mine is the one I'm currently carrying: my LV Montaigne BB in Marine Rouge. I just can't seem to get enough of this bag! Every time I go to switch it out with a different bag, I say to myself "just one more day"...
To my surprise, it has even worked on drizzly days. My SA told me not to treat it with a waterproofer, so I didn't. The raindrops just bead up and I brush them off.

I never get tired of seeing your LVs!

Emperinte seems to be sturdier than it seems! I haven't babied my key pouch and it looks great. I do baby the Speedy, but good to know water can just brush off should I get caught in real rain. I think when I did take it out in the rain, I hid it under my coat.

Great bags!
Thank you dcooney4!

It's all over the handle - the leather is peeling off from underneath the handle and the glue is cracking. It probably won't fall off for quite some time but aesthetically, it's not pleasing haha. I suspect some people think it's actually fake 'cuz of how beat up it looks. Surprisingly photographs well but irl, it's a hot mess lol. If I find a handle that looks good for the bad, I'll snip off the original and replace it, but it's hard to find one that looks good with it 'cuz of the color. Also, need to find one of appropriate length.

That's awesome to hear it's so resilient to rain! One of my biggest worries where I live, especially since I take transit.

I'll keep an eye out, but some places that repair bags can make a new one.

My most used would probably be my Evelyne - it's so easy and doesn't mind rain.
When I read posts about people not using their bags, I always wonder what exactly they're saving them for? I can understand something not working out, but I can't understand what makes anyone keep choosing to wear what theyre not bothered about over something they love?

Those are a couple of examples of what I mean by things not working out, which is a little different from just not using a bag to keep it "like new"

That's the point I was trying to make! I wear my favourites too
Yes, this is what I was taking about. I don't get how / why people have bags get love on the shelf and won't wear them for fear of messing them up or because they feel they're too "good" for their lives. And then many will buy even more bags that end up on the shelf.

Other than some really formal bags, like little beaded ones, I don't think any bag is "too nice" for a "regular" life. So it makes me puzzled and sad when I hear people say they can't wear the bags they love because their lifestyles don't fit them. Size and function issues, I completely get. But too nice? I don't. Most bags can even look cute with jeans and a white top or a simple sundress. So I wish more people would wear the bags they own and love.

I love that you have this bag! It's obvious that you love it. I just sold my version of this and I'm regretting it. Sometimes you just need that "comfort" bag.

On colors/color combinations, I don't really know what works for me or not. But what is obvious from my closet is the lack of pastel colors. I also don't like rust. And I think this extends to bags. My skin color is okay with any color I think. My go to combinations involve red or blue with some other colors. Although I try to avoid the contrast of red and black. I prefer red with grey. I know it's generally okay, just a personal preference. I should learn to wear turquoise btw.
