Thank you so much to everyone for the care and solidarity against the cuckoo buyer. :hrmm: I normally don't have a lot of problems selling items and -knock on wood - have yet to get scammed. But it's super irritating when this kind of thing happens.

As a happy coincidence, I got an offer on a different bag that I accepted. So I'll shop that out on Wed when I do a quick in and out turn around. That will keep my numbers as they were end of March.

In some down time I also listed a number of things. (I had taken pictures which were on my phone but hadn't gotten around to listing.) @papertiger - I totally get how it seems like it's "work" to list anything. I can't stand it. But, I persevered and have approx $5k of random stuffs (bags, jewelry, clothes) listed. I'm going to take the proceeds from anything that sells and add it to my Europe fun money budget. So I ask the eBay / Tradesy / Vestiaire / Poshmark gods to be kind to me.
Esp if bicarbonate of soda is in the toothpaste. BTW bicarb and white vinegar de-greases, polishes off taps and most bathroom fittings, de-gunks sinks and drains. Lemon juice is the best glass cleaner I've ever used (I have a glass sided shower). A wedge of cut onion will deodorise trainers. Most of the commercial brands just package everyday ingredients plus a host of nasties you wouldn't want in the environment ever let alone in your bathroom/kitchen then sell them back to us for 100 x the money.
Except for the onion these are all tips I use for cleaning. A previous housekeeper taught me how to use natural products and I love it because I don't have all the harsh chemicals around. :flowers: I was a complete nonbeliever til I saw most of the options work better than the chemicals (like vinegar on glass)
Yes, the 35 is definitely too big for now while carrying the baby tote as well. I'm starting to look forward to thinking up some casual outfits. I usually wear skirts and dresses but not necessarily dressy. It might be cute with a mini skirt and boots. Maybe that comes to mind because that's what I'm wearing at the moment

I also prefer the look of flaps and satchels, but I am a "what if" person so I always need a tote for practicality. Your Alix tote is very cute, I like that it has some edginess to it and is a bit unexpected.
I really like your look. The boots are gorgeous.
The thing with Barenia is that even if you think your hands are dry, they can definitely cause a very minor smudge on the bag. I am assuming that once I or H spa go over the whole bag with any kind of baume those types of smudges will even out. When Barenia really stains I think it is from oily spills.
The "edgy fashion" thread is mine and yep, I was super worried that in my lots-of-black lots-of-edge wardrobe Gold might not be the best choice (especially having both B and K in gold), but I've seen people all in black with a gold bag look amazing. Personally I love Gold because it is the BEST with jeans. So, yes - one of my uniforms is T-shirt/jeans/scarf/boots and another is silk blouse/jeans/heels or boots - and Gold works PERFECTLY with both outfits. If I wear all black, personally I will carry a darker bag, preferably black, but that's not a rule at all. @arabesques shows gold with black on her blog a few times, I think (Aesthetic Alterations) and naturally it looks fabulous.
I also agree that with a 14-month-old you are going to be gravitating to different bags and IF (if) the K isn't your favorite right now that may not always be the case.

I totally agree! I love Etoupe on others or by itself and do NOT like it on me at all. Gold for day, black for night, and you're covered  I wear Gold year-round, for instance if I am wearing a camel coat it's fantastic.
There's an edgy fashion thread??? :search; What is the title? I'd love to go see!
I looooove all the fashion and style talk. :whoohoo: It's fun and gives everyone new ideas. Keep it coming! I love to hear more about how everyone styles their bags. Pictures of fill outfits are also very welcome. Also, I'm copying some of the comments on the Hermes leathers and colors in my Evernote in case I ever decide to venture down that path.

Hi everyone, sorry for not posting lately. I am so busy preparing our move to Singapore. Cleaning, taking pictures of our furniture to sell, interviewing movers, withdrawing LO from daycare, doctors' appointments... what a headache!

But now I need to ask some questions for those of you who live in humid places. Vink, msd, any pocket friends from Singapore, how do you protect your bags from mold?? I was told that due to the conditions, bags getting moldy is inevitable. Is it enough to put packets of dessicants like silica in the bags or do I need to invest in a dehumidifier or dry cabinet?
Hey, Sora! I have no tips on fighting humidity but just wanted to say "Hi!" And good luck on the move!!!

If you're packing them into a storage, silica gel is a must. But don't put in too much and spread them out. Overloading on that will make the leather too dry. A pack or two, for bigger bag, is enough. But if you keep it in your closet at home, just make sure to keep it clean (free of sticky things that may happen or crumbs or whatever encounter you of the day. I usually give my bags a good shake.) and air dry for a day or two before putting it back in the closet will be enough. The only bag that ever get mold in my closet is the City GSH. but I suspect that because I used it on a rainy day and didn't air dry it properly before putting it back in the storage. I wiped it clean and aired dry it, also washed the dust bag. It's been years and the mold never comes back.

Thanks for the Chloe suggestion. We don't have a Mulberry store here so I can't try the bag. I will be going to Macau (and likely crossing to HongKong) in June, I will research if there are stores there.

Sorry to hear about your bad ebay experience Spark.

I know about the RM straps but didn't know about MK, thanks for the info! I'm trying to find a good deal as I am such a cheapskate.

I don't think molds are automatic. Maybe depending on the placement of the cabinets, aircon, exposure to sun in the room, etc. Prior to my being conscious of all these leather issues via tpf, I've only had mold issue with a Bally leather wallet. A friend of mine recently got molds on an RM MAM lambskin that I gave her. This is because the bag got some rain water on it and she just stored it in her closet without making sure the leather had totally dried.

I am lucky to have been given 1 big plastic full of silica gel - not the packaged ones, but the raw little round things! These are colored blue and turn to pink when already saturated with moisture. Maybe until the end of the year, my bag closet is safe with my supply of silica gel. There are available containers of commercial dehumidifiers where the absorbing material drip liquid at the bottom. Time to replace when the absorbing material has all turned to liquid. I just recently tried one and placed it in my wardrobe cabinet where I keep a few bags as well. The packaging says 2-3 months, but I think mine is all liquid now after only about a month.

Here is a photo (clickable thumbnail) of the commercially available one here as well as the pink (time to replace) silica gels that I put on a smaller container and just punched holes into.

I hope you will have a good stay in Singapore. It is a very beautiful place...but hot and humid just like where I am.

Thanks dear Vink and msd for easing my worries! It sounds like I don't have to be overly worried, just make sure the bags are properly air dried and not stored wet. I will definitely look out for those dehumidifier containers. What you did with the silica gel is a great idea too since I worry about my toddler finding them. I will probably have a closet full of "storage" items like my down coats and winter boots that I'm keeping in case we come back to Canada in winter.

Hey, Sora! I have no tips on fighting humidity but just wanted to say "Hi!" And good luck on the move!!!

Thanks Sparkle! Glad you sold another bag and let's hope the cuckoo scammer gets her just desserts!

Thanks! [emoji4] I just love colored bags. I'm not big on black, until last year. (Wondering if the state of mourning has something to do with it. [emoji848])
Maybe you can check dior boutique out sometime? But don't tempt yourself into getting it coz I'm sure it's not for everyone. (Yeah.... there're pro and huge con on some design.)

I should check again. I just remember not liking the Lady Dior's opening but maybe something else can fill my Dior wishes.

Unfortunately, there's no way to fix it. The yellowing happen to the chemical that coated the leather. And from what I read, there's no way to fix it. It just stick there and change. But that's ok. I like it just the same. I think it's just another look. I mis-store it, but it's fine. It's meant to be used and loved anyway. Maybe I should use it more before it gets any uglier. [emoji848]

Could become a project bag? Some people have dyed/painted patent after stripping the coating.

I'm traveling all week, :crybaby: so I'm up late and decided to go ahead and post my bags for the week.

I don't like purple or violet all that much but PINK is my FA-VOR-ITE color!!! :yahoo:

I bought the Prada because salmon pink is one of my sorority colors (the color is more true in the second photo) and I looooove Prada's double zip totes.

I got the Miss Dior as a present after I ranted and raved about how much I loved my blue one. She's more of a bright watermelon / flamingo / tropical pink than a true pink. I always feel like I should be biting into something juicy when I see her.

So, with both of these having yellow undertones, I still need the perfect true pink (perhaps with slight blue undertones) to round out my pink family. But I'm not in any rush. I love my two pink babies. And, their different shades and styles work across my wardrobe. So I'm a happy camper.

And for @vink, the interior of the Miss Dior is a gorgeous dove grey! Pink and grey is one of my favorite combos (in fact pink and silver were my wedding colors) so I swooned when I saw it! View attachment 3655109
I love both of your pink bags!

I keep the purple just the same. I retire the Lacoste and add the pink 8" mini, Dior Soft tote, and a gray-pink Judoki bag (I consider it pink although most of the bag is blue-gray. I think pink is a more dominant color on this bag.)
Wow - so pretty! Thanks for going to the trouble of photographing house lot and condo lot to show off your collection!

I'm just too scared and busy to mess with it. And I don't think I can find a capable leather smith I can trust with it. I'll just use it as it is. Don't worry about it. It's not a big deal IRL. [emoji6]

What do you think of the Dior promenade pouch? I've been liking this model since it came out. Just couldn't get my hand on one with the color that I like enough.

Thanks. [emoji4] No problem. I live in 2 houses and always commute back and forth. I've been doing this since the last year project. It does help keep me in check of my stock. I don't really keep a list of everything and tend to go with my mood. This helps me realize how many I really have and let me think about each one of them closely when I take them out. Otherwise, I'll just keep stuff forever. [emoji28]

@Kisuromax - thanks for the reminder : nudge to do international selling! I just set it up with only a very few restricted countries. Hopefully, this will open up more sales! I'm really sick of looking at my purgatory box. :-s

That I love your Alma is obviously not surprising but that vintage Mademoiselle is amazing
