Spark,I always love seeing your oxblood Valentino. Isn't that more red than purple? And you know I covet your fuchsia flap. I have to keep telling myself I don't need that and my pink Miss Dior.
I had just said I don't care for purples and then you show the gorgeous Chanel flap and Bal. They are so pretty!
I can wear almost every color on the planet except lilac / lavender. It does nothing for me and tends to turn what I call gravestone grey on me.
----
I wonder if I should have put my new-to-me Gucci in this week's photo or if it belongs in the reds as I was thinking it did. Hmmm!

I keep the purple just the same. I retire the Lacoste and add the pink 8" mini, Dior Soft tote, and a gray-pink Judoki bag (I consider it pink although most of the bag is blue-gray. I think pink is a more dominant color on this bag.)
Your trip sounds amazing! You have to share details when you return!
And, yes. Something very basic and durable would work best. Are you thinking crossbody? Backpack?
I'll take a photo. It's big and square basicallyI like the toolbox shape!
What's the inside like? I've never seen someone open it lol
Yes, it's oils that stain Barenia. I've seen my local H craftsman clean Barenia with water, so I summoned up all my courage and did the same for a tiny spot on my Birkin caused by breathing on it basicallyThis is interesting. What causes the spots and stains on barenia then? Oils?
I LOVE swift. The texture is luscious.
Gold bags are a funny thing. I have a gold K28 and had a gold B35. LOVE both bags and they're incredibly versatile (I only sold the Birkin to help fund the Barenia, which serves a similar purpose). I felt a bit the way you do about the gold Kelly at first - it made my heart sing when I first saw it in store, and then I was not as enthused - but now it's my most-carried of the Bs and Ks, probably my most-carried H outside of Evelyne and Garden Party. Give gold a chanceI really like the way that you phrased my thoughts! Now I have a mantra. I really appreciate your insight that it is better to have a gap in the closet to have a filler bag. I really need to keep reminding myself of this daily.
You know gold is a classic color for a Kelly, really everything about it is just fine, it's just very pedestrian. Your question made me pull it out of the dust bag and I have to say thanks, I forgot how well made it is and it does still make me smile. I am going to take the advice I read on this thread and use it for 1-2 weeks regularly and see if it really does have a place in my closet or not.
Yes, I mix metals, and I'm more of a SHW person rather than gold. But I have a couple of bags with gold hw (mostly soft gold type which is ok with me). The reason I mix metals happens when I'm using a different strap, rather than the bag's original strap (coz it was too friggin' long). I may have contemplated getting some straps with light gold hw just so they can match with the bags that have ghw, but I thought better of it. I still prefer shw. Haha.A quick question ladies. I need your opinion. With all the blingy bag leather straps available in the market now, will you mix metals? I see some cute Kate Spade leather straps now, but they all come with light yellow gold hardware. But the bags I am intending to use them on have silver. Do you think it's okay to mix?

You can try the bag out to test the weight, but the chain-leather strap does become a bit more unwieldy in my opinion, it being thicker and heavier than the ones on the regular lily.Oh, so the medium Lily is heavy?? I'm moving away from heavy bags, so thanks for the tip! I'm actually trying to look for a replacement for my Marc Jacobs Rita bag (pictured below). I love this bag when I wear it, but it takes effort for me to wear it in the first place. Specs: flap shoulder bag with chain strap with leather woven through it, leather but not quilted nor any similar stitching for texture, carries a lot while still looking small to medium. Below $1000. Could be preloved. Any suggestions? Lanvin Happy? Sugar?

Very sweet colors there! I'm quite fond of the Dior. :-OI'm traveling all week,so I'm up late and decided to go ahead and post my bags for the week.
I don't like purple or violet all that much but PINK is my FA-VOR-ITE color!!!

I bought the Prada because salmon pink is one of my sorority colors (the color is more true in the second photo) and I looooove Prada's double zip totes.
I got the Miss Dior as a present after I ranted and raved about how much I loved my blue one. She's more of a bright watermelon / flamingo / tropical pink than a true pink. I always feel like I should be biting into something juicy when I see her.
So, with both of these having yellow undertones, I still need the perfect true pink (perhaps with slight blue undertones) to round out my pink family. But I'm not in any rush. I love my two pink babies. And, their different shades and styles work across my wardrobe. So I'm a happy camper.
And for @vink, the interior of the Miss Dior is a gorgeous dove grey! Pink and grey is one of my favorite combos (in fact pink and silver were my wedding colors) so I swooned when I saw it! View attachment 3655109

Vink,
I love to see your photos. Such a diverse collection of styles and colors. I love the yellow Chanel peeking in the corner
That reddish-pink Chanel right at the back is such a scene stealer. My line of vision went straight to it. o_o!

I have just had a similar case but the other way around, i found a nice SLG where shipping was stated only to the country of the Seller/item location. BEFORE bidding/buying i sent a msg to the Seller asking if she would consider shipping abroad. She responded quickly - as long as i agree to pay (as if i didn't know that), ok, fine, i asked her to change from one and only country to either "many countries" or "worldwide", otherwise eb@y won't let me complete the order. If only i knew... after a long exchange and number of efforts from my side to explain her what and how i finally gave up and decided to pass.Warning: venting ahead!
I am incredibly irritated. Recall I sold a bag and the buyer used an e-check instead of a credit card? Well, I don't know why but every e-check transaction I've had has been a pain. So I suspected I'd have issues with the buyer. I hoped I was wrong but I wasn't.
The e-check took the full 5 days to clear. On day 3 of that time she sent me a nasty note asking when I was going to ship the bag. I gritted my teeth and sent her a pleasant note back saying that because she used an e-check, the funds had not cleared. But I assured her that I would ship the bag within 24 hours when funds were received.
Once the check cleared, I packaged up the bag to ship and found she has an invalid address. I messaged her about this and asked her to change her address. She told me to change it.I explained I can't make any changes to her address because I can't know her correct one (duh!) and even if I did I would lose seller protection. She then asked me how to change it. Despite not being her mother, her keeper or an eBay employee, I sent her directions. Third round of messages: she says that she still can't figure it out and sends a completely different address telling (not asking) me to change it.
I REPEAT for the umpteenth time that I can't change her address. This goes back and forth a few more rounds over a couple of days with me ultimately suggesting she call eBay for help. She doesn't want to do that. So, finally, I advise her that that if she didn't have a viable address in eBay by 10am today, I was canceling the sale. At this point I didn't know if she is dense, rude, a scammer or all three. Either way I didn't want to deal with her. This was just too much messiness and hassle.
10am no address is updated. I cancel the sale, refund her money (automatically through eBay) and send her a pleasant note advising her of my actions. That leads to her sending a flurry of angry, profanity laden messages accusing me of bad customer service and of swindling her.I don't bother responding to any of them. I simply report her messages to eBay and block her from bidding on any of my items ever again.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Buyers have a responsibility to know eBay procedures and policy before they buy. I'm not a store. I'm not your mommie. I don't want to hand hold you. I don't want to walk you through steps on eBay. I don't want a simple transaction to take 8 days. And I certainly don't want to be cursed at.
This is also why I get my dander up when I see people posting in various places on TPF about proudly being being bad buyers and expecting the world from sellers. Everybody needs to be a grown up - polite, considerate and fully capable of using the tool that is eBay. I will never understand the sense of unbridled entitlement that some people have.

I'm thinking crossbody so I can put my camera inside it. I have a crossbody camera bag that holds a ton and has specific camera padding but it's pretty unattractive. Half the trip is volunteering and half vacation so I need something versatile. Maybe I'll have my family bring over a "nicer" bag for the safari trip.
I'll take a photo. It's big and square basicallythe Toolbox can also be batwinged. It holds more than a Kelly 32, I think, because it's square.
Yes, it's oils that stain Barenia. I've seen my local H craftsman clean Barenia with water, so I summoned up all my courage and did the same for a tiny spot on my Birkin caused by breathing on it basically. Yes, I took a wet cloth to my very expensive B. Water dries right up and disappears in minutes (and the spot disappeared as well). I'm finally enjoying the process of this bag gaining a "look".
I LOVE Swift. I bought the Toolbox only for the color and honestly, the leather is so luscious AND robust. I had read it was delicate but it's not at all.
